1. i see one couple in the middle where the mother still have the baby with her. it could be Frida herself as she draws her mother having her.

2. then i see a naked girl holding a red string in the middle, the string connects to the other 2 couples which my guess is his grandparents.

4. i see a blue building below and my guess for that is its their home and where they live as a family. it is a large house but seems small from afar .

5. i see the background being green and have lots of grass and plants, it could be plants that the family planted to keep the environment safe, tidy and beautiful.

6. i see a blue sea, could means that their house is beside an ocean, they can admire the amazing view of the waves.

7. i see an egg cell and a sperm cell, could means that the mother is pregnant.

8. i see more than one building, could means that they may have neighbours living near them. they could even be their friends and hangout together.

9. i see the way the red string was drawn, could means that its to show the family tree. one string to the fathers side and the other to the mothers side.

10. i see flowers and it could be them who planted it, it decorates the surroundings to make the environment look more beautiful.

    I think the art work could be about the family and their relationships. The red string is to connect them together as one family and the child could be the parents child. Theres accessories worn by the grandparents could show that they are a rich family. I think that the baby that the mother was having is Frida Kahlo herself. The 2 couples above are Frida Kahlo's grandparents as said in the title of her drawing.

    I wonder how was their life together as a family, is it happy? or sad.

    I wonder how does the place around looks like. do they have other family members? why is there so many other buildings?

    I wonder why she draw herself naked, does it have a specific meaning for it?

1. i see a women reading a newspaper. she is sitting in the middle leaning on the pillow and crossing her legs. she is wearing a mandarin gown with a black shoes. she is wearing glasses too while reading the newspaper.

2. i see the father looking at the mothers newspaper at the back as well. he is wearing white and was leaning against the couch for support and rest.

3. i see a girl knitting and sitting at the side of the couch. she is using white and blue yarn and its as if she's knitting a handkerchief, she tied pig tails for the hairstyle as well.

4. i see another girl lying down on the couch and was holding a book in her hand, she was reading it. her legs were up and crossed so it means that she is in a comfortable position.

5. i see a boy sitting on the floor half naked and have coloured feathers on him, he was holding onto an arrow too. he is sitting at the front of the couch with his legs crossed. i can assume that he probably plays archery as he has an arrow in his hands.

6. there is a red slipper underneath the couch and it could be the mothers or either one of the girls slipper. i can assume that its maybe because one of them didn't tidy the shoes properly and placed it anywhere.

7. i see the mother reading the newspaper and it could be about the news of their country. she could be interested in reading newspaper to know what's going on in her country

8. i see that both girls tied pigtails which could be planned to match hairstyles. the two sisters does look alike as well.

9. i see them together in this one picture frame as one family, it could means that their having a family time and having fun. they are either sitting on the couch or near the couch and is highly possible that it is their own home.

10. i can see that the colours used for the background of the house is light to show that the house is simply designed and there was nothing on the wall.

    i think that the drawing is about a family together at the bed doing their own things. The mother was reading a newspaper, one of the daughters were knitting and the other one was reading while lying down. The father was just looking at the newspaper the mother was holding and the son is on the floor holding an arrow, i can also assume the son is sporty too as archery is a sport I could tell their a family as they seems close to each other and the title of the portrait was Family Portrait.

    I wonder what were their thoughts while they were doing their own things. were they focused on the things that they were doing?

    I wonder how old could the children be. do they not have school to attend?

    I wonder what time of the day it was when they were all together. could it be right after dinner? or even afternoon to have a short family time together.

In the first art piece, the family seems very formal and grand, its as if they have to follow family rules in the house. however, the second piece seems more comfy and together like a family, they are happy being with each other and having their family time.

The first art piece seems very rich as there are many accessories being worn by them and the clothes is as if what a Queen or King would wear. however, the second art piece is maybe just a normal household and they are wearing comfy clothes while sitting on the sofa, one of them was even lying down.

different so its not accurate and not similar to the photo that i have taken. I have restarted the drawing and have drawn the scale first before actual starting the drawing.

The artist used one simple colour, blue, to draw many random flower or leaves. It has clean lines and the space used fills up the whole vase.

EVIDENCE

The shapes drawn on the vase looks like plants seen around Singapore and could possibly be the reason why it was named "Singapore Blue". The lines and texture is clean and organized. It has a white base colour on the vase which made the colour blue very visible and obvious.

The artist is showing how one simple colour can mean so much things. different tones can be drawn and is able to fill up all the space.
