Classroom strategy: class grouping

Grouping children into smaller groups (red, blue, yellow, green) is helpful in getting children to know where to sit. It also allows me to carefully separate children who have behavioural issues away from other children as well as grouping them based on the strengths so they can help each other.

1 Effective classroom management strategy i use is to make use of visual cue cards. I use the these cue cards to allow children to visualise the actions or behaviour that is desirable, such as good sitting, listening ears, good drinking etc. I also ask them about what they see on the visual cue cards in order to reinforce the desired behaviour or action :) This will further encourage children to actively participate in their learning.
