This happened to be one of the bestest things I did this year and I feel so good about myself for enrolling in it due to many many reasons!! First of all, the entire workshop felt like a PERSONAL ATTACK because OMG there were zillions of things that I could relate to. Over 2 days, a lot of unlearning, re-learning, and self awareness happened and ofcourse way too much of dark jokes!😁Another great aspect of being part of these things is that you finally get to meet and talk to people who’ve been through the same as you or way worser. You get to realize that you’re not the only one having these kinda anxious thoughts and there are people who could feel you without any judgement (most important)! A BIG HUG and THANKS to Suhanah for all her valuable efforts and time despite being so busy at her work!!♥️♥️♥️♥️🤗🤗🤗I’m also grateful to all the people who have shared their journey and experiences. Ya’all felt like my own family.🥺❤️
P.S: I’ve never done any homework/assignment with such an excitement and enthusiasm as I did for the worksheets and the fact that these are for my own well-being makes me feel super proud!😻
I hope to put into practice of whatever she has taught us and hope to become better at being anxious.😂☺️

Core values such as empathy, trust, respect was something that I could witness during the two days.
I felt connected to self and others, still processing some of the deeper sharings and experiences.
You very beautifully created a safe space for us to share vulnerably. Thank you Suhanah! All the "academic stuff" has been a learning- unlearning process.
You coming from a space wherein saying that "we can do it"- is a huge validation.
My key takeaway is self- compassion and curiosity is antidote to anxiety! There is a huge aspect of growth, digging deeper and hardworking and I realised like you shared it is a process which requires handwork, patience and practice. I am looking forward to that journey :)
I am also looking forward to the self- compassion workshop by you <3
I have already started using the worksheet on self monitoring and observing my patterns and realised that these were things that I used to get anxious about earlier as well but they went unnoticed, but are causing some distress now- I truly hope to be more kind and empathetic towards myself, this workshop was one step towards that.
Thank you for sharing your learnings and perspectives. You are an incredibly aware individual and helping us become one as well.
Aunthenticity, kindness, love, empathy, humour is something that flows through you and I am really happy that I could witness and participate in a space created with so much energy with you.
I felt inspired to dig deeper within myself and into anxiety in general, also felt the need to know how to support someone who is experiencing anxiety.
Thank you Suhanah for helping me connect with myself <3

- Shilpa
PS: will write to you separately with my learnings and experiences of self monitoring and application of strategies and resources that you shared.

Recently I made a mistake of almost forcing a friend of mine into therapy. After attending the workshop I realized that facing one's fear can be even scarier for some people. Hopefully I won't be repeating the mistake again. I have thought that I am weird cause I can't drive thinking I am gonna hit someone. Now I feel belonged cause I came to know that there are others who struggle with the same fear. I have been struggling with severe panic attacks and been constantly trapped in the chain of 'what bad could happen next' fear. Suhana has already helped me by introducing 'what if' technique and it has done wonders to me ever since. I am at a much better place now. Even though I struggle with irrational fears even today it has gotten far better. I am thankful to Suhana for literally saving me. P.S. posting this late cause I was anxious😁

I'm so glad I decided to attend this workshop. I'm more glad that Suhanah made it feel safe and comfortable enough for us to be able to talk openly and ask questions which a lot of us wouldn't have otherwise. I also loved the fact that it felt like a very supportive and understanding community in there. We all were relating to the experiences shared by others and the chatbox was filled with messages starting from "thankyou for sharing" to "u r so brave" to some dark humour about how the shared episode is relatable (not to forget Supermommie's wit and words of wisdom). I am absolutely grateful for how Suhanah had a structured workshop with everything ready but was also ready to break the structure to listen to us and made us all feel seen. I learned so many things and was able to understand myself so much better..... I'm sure what I've learnt will also help me become a more compassionate and understanding person for those around me. The workshop left me feeling seen, heard, understood and a sense of relief washed over me. More importantly, it has made me feel more confident about understanding myself and taking steps to feel better and lead a more fulfilled life. Lastly, thanks a tonne for being such a fun, loving, compassionate sweetheart, Suhanah. Much love, awe and admiration. Hugssss.

Ps. Can't wait to attend a workshop on Self-compassion!

This is definitely the best decision I've made this year. I'm an introverted person by nature and it takes time for me to get comfortable in a new setting so I was a bit hesitant to attend the workshop. But you guys instantly made me feel at ease and I was so happy the entire time. It was like I'd finally found a place where everyone can understand me. I loved how Suhanah and Doctor took the time to explain everything about anxiety and its causes before teaching us how to manage it. You guys are literally the best! I genuinely wish this was a monthly thing, I would definitely attend it! I cannot thank you enough for this.

Being amidst other people who finds it difficult to function with the same issue as me, when we could relate with the things being taught every passing minute in the workshop, it was relieving. Suhana and Abshad made a good job in making us comfortable. It brought about a sense of calm and reassurance when a disturbing or self defeating belief was identified in the process and when we sat down to rewrite that belief. Initially, I couldn't even tell good things about myself and I realized how deep rooted certain negative thoughts are. I learned how to talk to my inner child with compassion. And ever since the workshop, things have been easier. Every time i notice myself becoming anxious, I now resort to speculating my thoughts, my emotions and my behavior in that situation and is also able to apply one of the techniques to ground myself. There is new found hope in me ever since the workshop! 🥺❤

When I first got to know about suhana and abu's anxiety management workshop, I knew I wanted to give it a shot. I felt I didn't really need help with anxiety..but decided to go cos atleast I'd get a better idea of what exactly I need help with. Boy, was I mistaken. The first half of the session was about the different types of anxiety and what that looked like. To my surprise, I could relate so much! The session was incredibly informative, and yet did not get boring at any point.
The second half was more about coping mechanisms. This was really helpful as well. Though I haven't made a regular practice of everything yet, I gave the meditation app a try, and I'm loving it. I've also practiced the square breathing technique when I was starting to get anxious. We also discussed how childhood experiences can shape our fears when we grow up. I thought about that a lot, and again, couldn't come up with an answer.. But after a day, I randomly recalled so many incidents which are probably the root causes of my fears as an adult. For this, I'm eternally grateful.
What I loved most was how reassuring they were, and helped us all feel safe enough to open up about our anxieties.
Before attending the workshop, I was reluctant to tell people that I was attending a workshop for anxiety management, cos the typical indian would scoff at any paid mental health effort. But after the workshop, I have spoken about it to a bunch of people, because I loved it, and found it incredibly useful.

Lots of love to Su and Abu.. You guys are amazing...keep going y'all. I hope you guys know how much of a difference you make to all of our lives❤

-Merlyn
