- We talked about the relationship between Katz and Bryson, and how they hold each other back 
- We talked about the dangers of the Trail 
- Bryson thought that working with Katz would be good in the beginning, but as he is on the journey he realizes he should have listened to his wife as it appears it’s not working out right now 
- Bryson is terrified to enter back after the murders, and is even more scared after he spoke with the park ranger. This adds to his characterization as a nervous person, going back to his nervousness shown in Chapter 1

- He does not want to get attacked by one of them, so he does his research on mountain lions in the area 
- I think Bryson will get hypothermia because there is no reason he would mention it without getting it 
- Bryson also talks about how he got cold while going on that mountain, so he will definitely get hypothermia later in the book
- We could also argue he wont get hypothermia because he was not prepared for the mountain once, so the next time, he will definitely be prepared for hypothermia 
- I like Bill Abdu and I think Bryson does too

2. We discussed how Bryson uses different rhetorical devices in order to convey the story in a more entertaining way and keep the reader (us) hooked.

- They go to the shelters and there are two men there: Jim and Heath.
- They continue on their journey and Katz still wants to leave.
