         <description><![CDATA[<div>Eukaryotic DNA is associated with histones, but Prokaryotic DNA lacks histones. DNA is acidic and negatively charged, so bonding with histones neutralizes it.<br><br>Nucleosomes are linked as DNA strands from one nucleosome flow into the next = a DNA linker. Large genomes = required packaging to fit the genetic material into the nucleus.&nbsp;<br><br>Nucleosomes supercoil the DNA while allowing access to it which occurs when coils unwind and histones are moved out of the way. Nucleosomes are the repeat units of eukaryotic chromatin, which is further coiled to form chromosomes.</div>]]></description>
