As I present the lesson, the student gets to display the content, they choose the first person to answer a question. Then that person gets to ask the next person. I found that I had more volunteers when they were being chosen to participate by their peers rather than the teacher. They also would volunteer so that they could choose their friends.

Periodically, I have tried to show videos from the Kindness 101 series put out by "On the Road with Steve Hartman", but would ideally be able to offer them in our Advisory because it meets every day. Most are 3-5 minutes, max, and offer real-life examples of kindness in practice. In the past, I would use a question for whole group or partner discussions after the video, but it also could be used to prompt independent writing reflections. Using it on a daily basis establishes it as a time for more thoughtful discussion of human qualities and contributions toward the greater good.
