Ana is really innocent and naive. After a while, she realize she want him. Although his ambiguous reserve and advice, she finds herself desperate to get close to him. Not able to resist Ana's beauty, reservation and independent spirit, Christian Grey admits he wants her too, but on his own terms. Ana hesitates as she discovers the singular tastes of Christian Grey - despite the embellishments of success, his worldwide businesses, his huge worth, and his loving family, Grey is obsessed by the need to control everything.

I think the film in general is really good, and worth seeing. It offers you a chance to dream yourself away and to feel empathy. I don't really think that the movie is able to be compared with any other movies, because it is so erothic and contains so much BDSM which other movies don’t have. 

Its really captivating and I would say that it’s realistic, since it is very many men in the world that expose women to BDSM and some of them forces the women to have sex with them. 
You get really emotional when you see how much Ana really is suffering in some parts of the film.

I think the film isn’t that relevant in society today, since it is more erothic and shows that it is okay to treat women like that. But its really not! So I wouldn’t say that it is relevant in the society.

Ana is a really good role model. I like her a lot. Christian has very many great sides, and I don’t really think that he really wants to hurt Ana in any way, and that BDSM is his way to gain pleasure. I like him a lot too. Its hard do say if he is a good or bad person since its hard to tell if the things he does is ethic or not.

I love the actors! They’re acting really well and making you feel like it’s more like reality than acting. The footage works with the setting and the script is really well done. It’s so many sentences that you can remember from the movie like ”Ana… Christian….” and then the elevator door shuts and the both of them is disappearing from each others life once again.

(This is not 100% done)]]> 2017-02-01 09:52:25 UTC https://padlet.com/jens_franzen/ff1mainbody/wish/150774699 Split https://padlet.com/jens_franzen/ff1mainbody/wish/150774856 Split is a film that leaves it up to you to interpret the film, while you can still enjoy it by seeing it as a simple horror/thriller, pealing back the layers of Casey and Kevin´s psyches makes you appreciate the film even more.
Kevin has 23 personalities which could easily become a gimmick however because of the excellent writing, each personality serves a purpose both for both Kevin and for the point the movie is trying to make.
Casey is a character that has gone threw years of abuse which has made her more cautious and aware of what to do in the dangerous situation she gets into.
There was a risk with this as she could fall into the ”Girl being strong only because of abuse from Men” trope, thankfully this did not become the case and she does form a real personality that was both realistic and relatable.
My favorite scene in the movie is where Casey meets Kevin´s personality Hedwig, a nine year old impudent boy.
Right away Casey does what I would´ve done and tries to convince Hedwig that two of the other personalities want to remove him from Kevin´s subconscious, she right away understands how to manipulate him which reminded me of another great female character, Clarice Starling in Silence of the Lambs.

Not only was the soundscape too loud and the music too low, but the music was not even enjoyable when the noises of happenings did not violently pierce through the strings. Manipulative compositions, forcing emotions upon the viewer, is an unjust way of telling a story. It takes the punch out of the imagery and the makes any story fall flat. The scene when our protagonist cloud freaks out could have been truly emotional the sheer manipulation of the music completely ruined it for me. It got so bad, God forgive me, I started making up own melodies in my head. I figured that anything but the music that molested my ears could even begin to do justice to this actually pretty sweet story about friendship. When I got home I tried to gather the melodies I’d created in my mind. I wrote some of the chords down, picked up a guitar and started recording. After a while I had a looped tune that did NOT interfere with the story being told, a melody that let the piece of kino speak for itself. Online I found a so-called ”cam” of Partly Cloudy, i.e. someone who filmed it off of the silver screen and uploaded it to the internet for all to see. I downloaded it, decent quality I must say, and in iMovie I added my looped music. Purposefully I drowned the overall soundtrack and also other sounds, which served to let the art speak for itself. I uploaded the final product to a video service called YouTube with great success.

]]> 2017-02-01 09:53:19 UTC https://padlet.com/jens_franzen/ff1mainbody/wish/150774902 La La Land https://padlet.com/jens_franzen/ff1mainbody/wish/150774923 The fact that Damien Chazelle somehow manages to pull of a musical in this introvert society that we live in and even make it almost seem natural honestly amazes me. Watching Ryan Gosling’s Sebastian And Emma Stone’s Mia fall in love was one of best things I’ve seen in a while, and you almost want them to burst out in song and dance, as weird as that sounds. You also notice how the two characters change as soon as they officially means. Sebastian goes from someone who thought he could manage life all by himself, to wanting another person in his life. Mia goes from being on the verge of giving up her acting career to someone filled with hope. All because of the other character. There is however this one character played by the musician John Legend who i found was a bit forced. He simply appeared to start a problem. But other than that i think that this move is near perfect. Yes that might be because i very recently saw it and if i see it again i might change my mind, but right at this moment La La Land is truly amazing. 

The technical aspects are stunning as well. Chazelle creatively and beautifully uses the long take to tell his story and shows of the musical brilliance of the composer Justin Hurwitz. The cinematography by Linus Sandgren is brilliant and makes you never want to look away.

I think Manchester by the sea keeps getting stronger and stronger through the whole movie. The beginning is quite slow, you don’t get a good picture of what’s going on or what the movie is going to be about. But as the story continues and you get to know all the characters and see glimpses of their past, you start to piece together the beginning too. Lee Chandler is presented as a lone-wolf with a lot of built up anger inside. He works as a janitor and lives alone in a little basement in Boston, it seems like he doesn’t want to get close to anyone, as he rejects all the people who try to hit on him. Later we understand why, when his brother die and beget signed as his nephews guardian, he has to return to Manchester-by-the-sea and face his tragic past that he has oppressed for so long. He accidentally started a fire, which burned down his house and killed his tree children. I think the movie-makers have handled this part of the story beautifully, we get to see how he relives the memories from his old life as he interact with his home-town and the people in it. Lee Chandler does not want to be his nephew’s guardian, It’s pretty clear why, I think, he’s afraid that he will hurt him too. In the end, he let two of his old friends in the town adopt him. despite that, I interpret it as Lee take a hold of his past in the end, and in some way comes to terms with it. He’s  still moving back to Boston, but he has bought a new apartment with an extra room for his nephew to stay in if he want to come and visit or attend collage there. Even though I wanted him to become a guardian to his nephew, I understand why he didn’t. Also I think Lee, compared to who he was in the beginning of the movie, - a man who just existed in the now, living constantly with the regrets of his past with no will to change his life - has developed to someone who’s willing to look forward. He is, for the first time in years, making plans for his future. I thinks he’s finally accepted his life for what it is and has become and is now trying to start to live it again, I believe that the end of the movie is actually the beginning of a new chapter in Lee’s life.]]> 2017-02-01 09:54:06 UTC https://padlet.com/jens_franzen/ff1mainbody/wish/150775072
