For example, discussing an individual's care and support in a place where others cannot overhear. Dignity must also be maintained as well as privacy, for instance, knocking before entering the individual's room, or ensuring any clothing/hospital gowns the individual is wearing a positioned correctly. The individual must also be supported when making informed choices, which can be achieved by ensuring the person's personal views do not influence the individual's informed decisions.</div>]]></description>

Also, they must know how to respond with comments and complaints and who to ask for advice when handling comments. In addition, knowing what they must and must not do when dealing with incidents, errors and near misses. Finally, knowing how to communicate when dealing with confrontations and difficult situations and how to reduce the risks of these happening. </div>]]></description>

This goes against creating a positive relationship, with an individual and can lead to trust being lost.<br><br>Through communication towards an individual, if you yourself are unable to resolve a particular issue raised, the care certificate establishes that through communication techniques, you should be able to guide the person to other services in order for them to receive the highest possible standard of care require in that area.<br><br></div>]]></description>

It can come in many forms which include physical, sexual, neglect, psychological etc. There are 6 principals people should follow in order to help protection adults; empowerment(support/encouragement); protection(support/representation; prevention(take action before too late); proportionality(least intrusive response); partnership(local solutions) and accountability(transparency in delivering safeguarding).Putting individuals who receive care and support in control of their care can reduce the chance of abuse or neglect happening. It means making sure that in any care environment dignity and rights are promoted.</div>]]></description>
