         <description><![CDATA[<div>Louise Mallard has heart problems, so she must be told carefully about her husband’s death. Her sister, Josephine, tells her the news. Louise’s husband’s friend, Richards, learned about a railroad disaster when he was in the newspaper office and saw Louise’s husband, Brently, on the list of those killed. Louise sits down and looks out an open window.She begins repeating the word 'FREE' to herself over and over again.She feels happy because her husband isn't around anymore. Then the front door opens, and Brently comes in. He wasn't in the train accident or even aware that it had happened. Josephine screams, and Richards tries unsuccessfully to block Louise from seeing him. Doctors arrive and discovered that Louise died of a heart attack brought on by happiness.</div>]]></description>

Now that her husband has died she feels as if she now has more opportunities and has a bright future.<br><br>Irony: This story uses Situational Irony through Louise's surroundings. When a story has a dark and gloomy scene the mood is normally sad or something is wrong. In this story its gloomy but what the story is describing is this happy , friendly mood.</div>]]></description>
