Technology has their own standards for teachers and students. Although technology can seem hard to implement from a teachers perspective, Technology can greatly help students to grow in the digital age. Using technology and the ISTE technology standards, the teacher can be a model to empower students to be creative, innovative, communicators and collaborators. Students need to learn the application of technology, which can be done by the teacher through the SAMR model. Through the SAMR model teachers can find how they can best use technology in their classroom. Technology should not substitute or just be there to help with the lesson. Technology should not replace the teacher or anything in the classroom, but technology should modify instruction. Through also in class activities technology can help transform instruction.

I will use differentiated technology to help enhance understanding. Technology such as informational and interactive websites, like BrainPop, can help my students to better understand the concepts they will learn in class. I can use technology such as socrative and kahoot to quick check that my students are understanding the content as well as that I am doing a good job of conveying the content they need to know. Having a classroom website will be helpful for my students to have extra resources along with any information they missed in class. I can also use a class website to better communicate with my students and their parents.

Technology is slowly taking over todays society. Teachers need to use technology in their classrooms to help equip their students for the future. Creating a website for the classroom can be helpful for upcoming events on a online calendar, student resources and videos such as for a flipped classroom. This can be helpful for students to keep up in the classroom as well as for parents to understand whats going on in their child's life at school. Extra resources on a class website can help students to become better familiar with technology.

Technology is in classrooms to help enhance the instruction by the teacher. Technology such as z-space and a flipped video can aid in instruction with the teacher will out replacing the classroom or the teacher. Z-space, a 3-D computer can help students get a better understanding of how different parts may work in something such as a heart or a watch. A flipped video can allow the students to go over new content before they come to class. This can allow them to explore the concepts as well as bring any questions to class. The teacher can then have more hands on activities for them to do in class together.

Instruction can help support a diverse class to understand and know the content better. Differentiation can be as easy as finding a different way to present information to students. A teacher needs to get their students from point A to point B, how the students get there will all be different as long as they learn the concept and reach the end goal. Technology can provide a different way for students to get from point A to point B. Some students might even thrive better with technology in the classroom. Making sure to differentiate instruction and how the content is presented will better help all types of students such as the visual, audio and tactical learners.

A classroom can start and end with technology. Using formative for an assessment can help bring down test anxiety. Technology can create easy formative assessment to quick check for students understanding during lessons. Some examples of formative assessments can be seen in socrative and kahoot quizzes. Summative tests can even be done with technology such as the AZMerit. Although technology should not replace a classroom, it can definitely help transform instruction and assessments.
