It is difficult to imagine where people live many years ago. They live to survive and their conditions of living were not equipped with good furniture.

Nowadays we live in big apartments surrounded by fruit trees and different sorts of flowers. We can invite our close friends or relatives to our homes and have fun there.

Our modern houses consist of a great number of beautifully decorated rooms, technique and other modern useful things.

Our life becomes easier and more comfortable thanks to our houses.

We have heat, gas, cold and hot water in our houses.

If your houses are not far from the lake or the sea, you can swim a lot and enjoy your life.

Our home is our castle and the favourite place to live.

 

Firstly, all the children in our team have got the houses where they live. They are buildings. People can build the houses from stone, wood. It is a place where the family lives.

Secondly, all the children in our team have got home. To our mind it’s our family «fireplace». Every day we meet in the living room and speak about our problems and successes. We all enjoy this time very much.

Finally, we want to say that «house» and «home» are important words in our life. We need the house to sleep, to rest, to eat. And we need «fireplace» or home to communicate with each other in our family. We think close family relations are the most important things for children.

Home is like human’s soul and there’re plenty of unusual houses all over the world. They’re a reflection of people’s inner world, a personification of someone’s dreams. We got a lot of information about such houses from this project. We liked very much the idea to build a dream house from the stones you picked every day on the way to work. We talk about the Ideal palace of the postman Cheval. It’s the most unusual house we’ve ever seen!

But in fact it’s no matter if you live in a small country house or in a large flat on the top floor of the skyscraper. Home is a place where you feel happy and calm and your life is comfortable there.

The phrase “Home sweet home” sounds good because everyone loves his home. 

   Nowadays there are different types of houses. People  can build   a cottage or  a multi-storey house,  a detached or a  semi-detached house,  an igloo or a wigwam. The type of building depends on climate and natural conditions. 

   Many years ago people built very  simple dwellings such as a pit-hole house without rooms and furniture. Modern houses have got such rooms as a bedroom, a living room, a hall, a kitchen, a dining room,  a bathroom, a pantry etc. People provide themselves with lots of conveniences to make their houses  comfortable. They have got such pieces of  furniture as a sofa, an armchair, a wardrobe, a bed, a cupboard, a table,  a chair, a wall unit, a bed.

   Today there are several houses in different parts of the world that have unusual form. For example the Kansas City Public Library in the USA or the House – the Wall in Russia.

   In conclusion it should be said that wherever you go your “Home sweet home” is always the best place in the world.

It is a place where you live, it is a place where you feel good, and it is a place you love, because it is sweet home! 

There are a lot of words about house: kitchen, living room, bathroom, bedroom, fireplace, table and others. I have known many new words. 

I know different types of houses: a detached house, a flat, a terraced house, a semi-detached house … It was interesting to learn new facts about them. 

 Some people live in big fashionable houses, others can afford only small flats. Another matter is what our home can tell about our lives and us. You may own a mansion or rent a room in a big apartment with strangers. Anyway, you have your space, where you can create your little cozy corner.

I designed a house of my dream. 

I'd like to have my own house on the bank of a beautiful river with crystal water, surrounded by high mountains, covered with green forest of evergreen trees. It is a detached house with blue walls  made of  bricks and an orange roof.

As you come through the front door, you find yourself in a large hall with an open fireplace. One of the doors leads to the living room. This room faces the south, so it's very sunny and has a lovely view of the whole valley. In the middle of this room there's a thick Persian carpet on the floor. It is green. There are few units of furniture in this room. On the left there's a leather sofa and small table nearby, on the right you can see home cinema and satellite receiver. There are two armchairs in the corner of this room. They are big and comfortable. In this room there’re a lot of books in the bookcase.

 

There are three shelves with books above the table in my room, too. There are two big wardrobes: one of them is for daddy’s clothes and the second for mine.

 

On the top there is an attic. There I have a lot of posters as I am keen on graphics. There you can imagine yourself as a pilot or a cosmonaut. It’s fantastic!

 

Home is the symbol of safety, comfort and warmth despite the fact what part of the Earth it is located: East or West, HOME IS BEST!

 

This project is the best project in my school life.

But what about other countries? What types of houses do other people have? Thanks to the project we learned a lot of them: detached houses, block of flats, cottages, terraced houses, igloos. Yes, they look different but there is warm atmosphere inside of every house. We could find unusual houses in different parts of the world. We liked the chance to mark them on the map and find out new information. Our smart houses have a lot of techniques and useful things that can help us every day. Of course it wasn’t so hundred years ago. At those times houses were not so modern and we could see such changes of buildings. Not every day we have such a chance!

All people have their own dreams. And sometimes it’s good to think about something pleasant and magic. The project helped us to do it. Our team created a house of dream. Word by word, step by step and what do we have? A house in a form of a book. Why not? It is really fantastic.

You can live in Britain, Belarus, Russia or China; you can live in a small or a huge house. It doesn’t matter. Happiness doesn’t depend on a place or beauty. This happiness brings your family – the people you love. Don’t forget about it! Our «smart» team also became a close family. Isn’t it wonderful?

What is the most important thing about home for us? I personally think that home is a small world where one lives according to his own rules. It's a place where you feel comfort. And I believe that it's not the size of the place where you live that matters, but the way you feel about it. Homes reflect the way of life and habits of their owners]

Home is a very important place for everyone. We live there, spend our time, and receive guests. So, home is an integral part in our life. Around the world, people live in many different types of houses. Some houses are very large, some are made with expensive materials, some are very simple, and others are extremely old.  All of them have one thing in common: they keep people comfortable, whatever the weather outside. Depending on where you live, a particular type of house may be most appropriate. If you live in the city, you won’t live in a log cabin, and if you live in the arctic tundra, you can’t live in a tepee. 

What is the most unusual home you have ever lived in? Many of us only know what it is like to live in stucco or brick buildings, with everyday walls, windows, and doors. But there are houses all over the planet that are far different from the traditional, offering a unique way of life, and a place to live that is just as much art as it is a home.

Houses changed over the centuries, changed their structure, the kind and materials from which they were made. In olden times, people lived in very different homes. Everything was made by hand. Everything was made with things they found in nature. 

We can see a lot of furniture in our houses: beds, armchairs, chairs, desks, tables, mirrow, lamps, bookcases and so on. Our home is a place where we can watch TV, have a rest, sleep, eat, play and invite our friends. 

Every country has its own types of houses. People live in different places and they have different weather and climate conditions. That is why their houses are unique. They are not the same. They are built from different materials.

There are so many unusual houses in the world. All of them are beautiful and super. We have found a lot of unusual houses. We'd like to live in one of them.

Ancient houses were different from modern houses People usually used brick, stone for their building. Old houses were not comfortable for living. But nowadays we have a lot of things at our homes for using and comfort.

 

 

Home is a
place where you come after a hard day

In the house
you can always relax, relax, gain strength, and make important decisions.

Home is a
place where any emotional wounds are treated, a place where you are accepted
for who you are.

I do not want
to leave home, I do not want to leave it for a long time, because it is alive,
and it is a place for us where we are always welcome where it is warm and cozy

The house
says a lot about us: about our desires, relationships, where our energy is
directed, what happens to us inside.

Different
countries have different customs, different decorations.

In Japan,
most of the population lives in mini-apartments. The only room in the apartment
serves as everything: a bedroom, a living room, and a dining room. In the
corner you can see the refrigerator. And if you climb over the bed, you can get
to the balcony. The room is bright and well-lit, which visually increases the
space.

In Spain,
people live mostly in apartments. White walls, stone floors and shutters on the
windows are mandatory attributes of Spanish apartments. Such conditions help to
survive the hot southern summer. But in winter they are very cold, as in most
apartments there is no heating. Residents use electric heaters. They usually
eat in the living room.

In Korea,
there are no corridors in apartments. Even the very word "corridor"
may seem unfamiliar. The entrance hall has a size of about a meter by a meter,
so that from the threshold almost immediately the passage to the kitchen or
living room. In the hallway, the floor of which is usually covered with tiles,
you must take off your shoes. Apartments in Korea are small, but always very
bright due to the huge windows. This makes it seem that the space in them is
much larger. From the unusual to our person, probably, only the absence of a
bathroom and shower stall, which is replaced by a simple drain in the floor.

The people of
Great Britain live in apartments, but prefer the English suburbs with townhouses
in the house there is basically no heating in the house there is necessarily
carpet on the floor, often the interior is poufs, also in the house there are a
lot of pillows and a fireplace.

At home
before and now.

In Russia,
they used to live in wooden houses with earthen floors, but with paved paths in
the middle there was a stove that served as a heater and cooked food, baked
delicious pies and bread, and also washed in a Russian stove and slept and
warmed themselves lying on the stove.

Previously,
as now, a person could afford a wooden house. These were small one-story huts.
They were low, so that they would spend as little wood as possible on the
construction, which was also used for heating.

Now the old
huts have been replaced by multi-storey buildings. Which are more modern. Now
the non-durable wood has been replaced by more weather-resistant materials:
concrete, iron and fiberglass. Russians live most of the houses and comfortable
apartments wash now not "stove" as large baths in the bathroom at the
apartment to make repairs, each in its own discretion, mostly Wallpaper on the
walls on the floor tile or linoleum in the house, multiple bedrooms living room
kitchen where the whole family gathers at the table to discuss the successes or
challenges of the day. Everyone tries to create comfort and decoration to their
liking.

In these
examples, we have considered several countries, got acquainted with their life
and culture, but this is just a small grain-a huge history of the creation of
the life of the inhabitants of the planet Earth. Whatever your home is, whether
it is a castle or a small room, it is important not to forget that the house is
the foundation on which OUR ENTIRE LIFE is built. Home is our culture that we
should not forget and should not stop appreciating. Home is one of the main
components of our life.
