My social theory is about how social hierarchy has been an impact to our freedom through society, people are being arranged based on their class, race, and gender. which effects them to have a fulfilled life and to have the same freedom as other in due.

This song talks about how police raided jcoles house because people assumed that he was selling drugs, even though they were smoking weed which was legal cops still cam and there was a bunch of them. This is a good example of how in the U.S your skin color determines your social and political freedom"Some things you can't escape:
Death, taxes, and a ra-
-cist society that make
Every nigga feel like a candidate
For a Trayvon kinda fate
Even when your crib sit on a lake
Even when your plaques hang on a wall
Even when the president jam your tape"This half verse talks about how it don't matter what you've done in life the only memories that anyone will ever remember from you is death and taxes. Also it talks about how it doesn't matter if you have nice home, plaques hanging from your wall, or the president enjoying your music liife is not promising.

TITLE: Blacks Receive 60% Longer Sentences For Same Crimes AUTHOR(S):cganemccalla
PUBLISH DATE: (2012, May 10 WEBSITE NAME: News con WEBADDRESS:https://newsone.com/1859475/black-people-receive-60-longer-sentences-for-same-DESCRIPTION:
A new study by M. Marit Rehavi of the University of British Columbia and Sonja B. Starr of the University of Michigan Law School. Explains how skin color determines political and social freedom in America. Marit Rehavi and Sonja B. researched that
"Black Americans receive almost 60% long prison sentences than white Americans who committed the same crime" Their study covered 58,000 federal criminal cases and found that there was a significant difference between the sentences given to Black people versus those given to white people. Meaning that there is a high chance that a black man would be sent to prison for the same crime of a white man and receive more time in jail. Another quote that I found is "Black men were on average more than twice as likely to face a mandatory minimum charge as white men were, holding arrest offense as well as age and location constant.” This tells me that there is no sense of rights and freedom to be black once sentence to jail. The researches also found that age and location didn't matter to prisoners, they still get treated unequally based on race.

TITLE:Poor and homeless face discrimination under America's flawed housing voucher system.

AUTHOR(S):Susan Sered, Miriam Boeri

PUBLISH DATE: (2017, April 21)

WEBSITE NAME: the conversation poor-and-homeless-face-discrimination-under-america's-flawed-housing-voucher-system-

WEBADDRESS:http://the conversation.com/poor-and-homeless-face-discrimination-under-america's-flawed-housing-voucher-system-52480

DESCRIPTION:

This website talks about how thousands of people who are in low income living in a rich hotel faces a lot of discrimination from the landlords, racial slurs were torn out. It also talks about how it has something to do with race that brokers can pay rent. The biggest issue is that Section 8 people can’t afford realtors. One quote that I found that tells me how landlords discriminate the poor is “When the market is tight [landlords] discriminate against vouchers, and vouchers don’t keep pace with market values.”
This tells me that people who don't pay the landlords get discriminated often, which is very likely to happen, this quote supports my theory since people who don't pay landlords are getting less treatment and are receiving discrimination, than people who actually pay landlords, So if your broke and you live in a luxury hotel your are a high chance to have no sense of freedom. Another quote that I found that tells another reason why they are getting discriminated is "In these transactions, there’s an element of race involved. Some have argued that “Section 8” has become a racial slur. The broker we interviewed uses an application form that asks if an applicant is a “convicted felon,” which is often used as a subtle indicator for race" This quote explains how the brokers section 8 rights were taken away, section 8 is a Housing Choice Voucher Program. The landlords were making some racial race marks on the broker since they have no money to offer, it goes on by saying that it has something to do with race .This is a good example of how people that are living in America who are living up in the system of social hierarchy will detain their political and social freedom in the society. The whole system about arranging people is very dreadful for people in the lower class

TITLE:
AUTHOR(S):James Fieser, Bradley Dowden

PUBLISH DATE: (March 2009

WEBSITE NAME: INTERNET ENCYCLOPEDIA OF PHILOSOPHY

WEBADDRESS:http://www.iep.utm.edu/fem-race/

DESCRIPTION:
The article is about how gender hierarchy explains how gender can determine social and political freedom from women and men.
The article further explores how sexism and racism are structural problems endemic to American culture. As such, they need to be addressed systematically, along with class and all other systems of domination.

In conclusion the article is about how feminists unite to struggle against systems of domination and exploitation, and work to give up privileges by these systems, They are having a proposition for those benefiting from power, to dismantle the house and the multitude of oppression that it sustains. One quote that I found that explains how women of color freedom are taken away is "Women of color in the U.S., for example, not only define themselves in a struggle against white men and men of color, but also in resistance to white women." This quote is mainly bringing up that women of color that are in the U.S are somewhat intimidated by the fact that most people they see in the U.S are white. Another quote that I found that explains how gender and class has some effects on people from doing a movement is "The pioneer women in the U.S. suffragist movement spoke of and fought for women’s rights, using the term woman to signify all women. What they failed to recognize was that their notion of womanhood was modeled on the experiences and problems of a small percentage of females who, like them, were almost exclusively white, middle-class, and relatively well-educated" This quote mainly talks about how there was a slight issue that not all women were middle class and well educated, so it was hard for them to do a movement with the pioneers.
