All the members at Facilitator's Network pitched about FN well and convinced many to sign-up as seen in the FN Trove chatgroup. During the morning shift, we managed to secure 3 business cards that could lead to potential collabs with organizations.

Have a stricter cap on the number of members per shift

Given the space on 6 July, it seems that 3 members and 1 reserve member provided the maximum efficiency for outreach. The manpower for such an event could be reduced by 1 person in the future.

We worked well together to man the booth, despite being the first time meeting some of the people.

Getting to see the different booths together working hard which reinforces the volunteering spirit.

Seems squeezy to move around and just in general harder to present. In addition, the noise background makes it harder too (which i unds it cant be controlled)

food wastage which idk if there is anything we can do with that, perhaps a headcount on who wants to eat it beforehand may help

the event went smoothly with not many hiccups! :-)

pre-event planning

many decorations had to be done on the morning of the event day itself - would be good if we were more prepared instead of having to rush on the event day :-(

not much comms - members manning the booth weren’t given many instructions before the event day, members were also unaware of the activity at the booth prior to the event and had to adapt on the spot. would be better if there was more communication at least a few days before the event to let the members familiarise themselves more

no script - just personal preference but would’ve been nice to have a script to refer to when explaining about FN (as some of us are new to the cluster as well)

the booth was well-designed and decorated (props to those who designed and decorated the booth!), with an activity to increase interaction and engagement with visitors.

everyone was enthusiastic and passionate when speaking to the participants. we were also supportive of one another! ^⁠_⁠^

the provision of the QR code linked to FN's trove and Instagram page was also really helpful and time-saving!

could have more freebies, prep/info

though it was nice that we had stickers offered to visitors, it would be great if we had other/more freebies that we could offer them (e.g. candies) (though I understand that there are budgetary considerations that have to be made)

it would be good if we had more information prior to the event, such as instructions on manning the booth, as well as the activity that was set up at the booth.

additionally, as mentioned above, some of us may be new to the cluster and may not have had much experience beyond COPs and workshops; it could be better if we ran through and had some idea of the other activities FN has (such as the Istana open house, etc.), so that we could share more insights into FN

The booth set up and materials were well prepared. The COP promotion and QR code come in handy. The ice breakable activity is “walk” bait enough to keep participants coming.

Awesome exco faces to decorate our booth make us stand out. Nice sticker!

Thanks for the experience and I’m able to learn from the fair goers too.

Food for thought

Would be good that during the briefing with ycs staff, always ask if food is provided for both shifts.

Understood that it could be hard to gather everyone and info may be everywhere and may only be confirmed last minute, feel free to drop us a telegram message.

Indeed, giving us a script or FAQ seems good. Would consider the following to draft something for us?

“What’s FN?”, “What do we do?” “Upcoming event?”, and “What’s our FN email, telegram, and Instagram about?”

Manpower is okay, as the number allows us to swap for breaks, assist with the “ice-breakable”, take photos/video, and learn from the fairgoers/fn members.

Could consider taking turn/step out of the booth to engage more people around our area. We should not be limit by the booth and staying behind the booth. couls even engage booth helpers beside us to learn and promote FN
