8C Pre-Reading 'Fahrenheit 451' by Sukaneya Subramaniam

Before you decide to buy a video game, you usually check it out at the store or hear about it from a friend. You should also examine a book before you buy it or decide to read it. This activity will help you inspect the book you are about to begin reading

1)What does the front cover tell you?
2) Does the cover make you curious as to what the book may be about? Why or why not?
3) Read the back cover. Does the back cover interest you? Why or why not?

Because i ask my self whats so interesting about burning books what twist are they going to add to the book. but then i change my mind because it just looks like a novel on burning books.

3. No the back cover does not make me anymore interested it just makes me a little confused honestly it seems boring the front cover was more interesting to the back if we're comparing.

1)-By observing the cover, and the title of the book I think this book is about a persons life all about burning things like paper, books, newspaper, etc for a job or just hobby and they never questioned anything until something(The problem of the story) happened to make them stop.
2)-By observing the cover it makes me curious to what it's actually about because on it is a person made of newspaper standing ontop of books and holding a hat made out of newspaper and is lit on fire, which i think represents that the protagonists ife is mostly working with fire.
3)-After reading the back cover of the book and looking at the front of the book. The back of the book's small discription of the story did not intrest me as much as the front did because, the front cover showed a person made of newspaper on fire which was very intresting and made me curious to the true meaning but the back just made me unintrested compared to the front even though it actually summarize's the book.

The book also includes a picture of 3 burnt books which helped me infer that the book is about fire. Also it's says '' The novel of a firemen who are paid to set books ablaze'' .
2) the book makes me curious if the person is intentionally burning books, I also wonder if the man is going to get caught or if it's the man's job?
3) The back of the book interests me because I'm excited to read how the ending might turn out

At a certain degree a book could burn, and that degree is 451 Fahrenheit.
2. The cover of the novel does make me curious because on the cover there is a picture of a book that has been burned which is the tragedy of romeo and juliet.
3. When I read the back of the novel, it made me think that they dont like the idea of books because they burned it.Guy Montag was a fireman, not the fireman that stops fires, he starts them. The way he starts fires is by burning the books or the house they were hidden in.

Also on the side of the book cover it says "the novel of firemen who are paid to set books ablaze". Maybe the book consists of a firefighters life?
2. The cover makes me wonder if someone is probably burning books on purpose, or even thinks its fun to ruin creators writings?
3. By observing the back of the book, it shows that some of my predictions were correct. The back of the book interests me because it is about a fireman who is paid to put out fires, but instead he has pleasure while watching pages getting consumed by flames.

1) By examining the front cover, it tells me that the title of this book is "Fahrenheit 451", written by a man named Ray Bradbury. Just below the title it says, "The novel of firemen who were paid to set books ablaze", from this I can predict that in the time period this takes place, some event occurred in the past which made society decide to burn books.
2) The cover of this book makes me curious as to what the book may be about. I'm interested in how this story will conclude and overall the entire story.
3) The back cover makes me more interested to read this novel. This is because I'm curious as to how the seemingly main character of the story, Guy Montag, is a firefighter that specifically burns books and how he finds pleasure in watching them burn. Also, how meeting a seventeen-year-old girl may or may not have been fate to reveal past history.

1) From the title, "Fahrenheit 451" you could tell the book will involve something to do with hot temperatures. Since "Fahrenheit" is used in America, I predict this book will take place in America. On the cover, there are books and the caption above the book is, "The temperature at which books burn". The caption beside the book, "The novel of firemen who are paid to set books ablaze". I predict this story will be about firemen burning books.
2) Yes, the cover of the book does make me curious as to what the book will be about. If my prediction of the story is right, (which is firemen burning books) then it just makes me curious why good people would burn stories that authors have worked hard to publish.
3) The back cover is interesting because from what I got from the front cover, I thought this book was just going to be about harmless firemen burning books. The back cover describes a fireman named Guy Montag who has a job of starting fires. This is interesting because firemen have the job of STOPPING fire. I just am curious to why he hates books so much.
