         <description><![CDATA[<p>As an introduction to the play, this resource allows teachers to provide insightful, accurate, and relevant background information into the author, Shakespeare's life. Nearpod provides videos that contain learning checks thorough the video. The learning checks include opened-ended and selected-response questions. The purpose of this assignment is for students to actively listen/read closed captions and be able to reflect on their previous knowledge through open-ended questions; as well as, assess their understanding of the information presented through multiple-choice questions. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This resource allows students to take a virtual tour of the famous, Globe Theatre in London, England. This virtual tour allows students a 360-degree view of the theatre in which they can click on areas of the Globe to learn about it with written information, as well as videos. This resource would be extremely beneficial paired with viewing guided! The purpose of this resource would be to allow students an opportunity to "visit" the famous Theatre and gain an understanding of the society in which the plays were presented from actors, costumes, audience, payment to plays, stage, backstage, etc. For students who will never be able to visit, this an insightful alternative. </p>]]></description>

Students could take their understanding of the play and gained knowledge of societal norms to analyze the play, "Taming of the Shrew". The purpose of this resource would be to provide a more in-depth approach to the comedy of gender roles within his plays. This would also allow students to become acclimated with literature reviews for higher education. </p>]]></description>
