         <description><![CDATA[<div>Island Hopping was a strategy that the United States used to fight back against the Japanese. They started using this strategy in August of 1942. The strategy was going from fortified islands and capturing them to move onto the next one. United states did that to isolate Japanese strong holds and isolate their armies.
