In my humble opinion, tablets and other types of electronic devices can be dangerous for students if they are not used in a safe way. Internet has always a dark side that pupils don't know and it's problably that almost without realizing it, they start to talk with unknown people and be cheated easily. If adults learn them to use them correctly, most of these cases could be avoided.

However, tablets have benefits such as immediacy, attractive contents and games for children and the chance of being in touch with other students to share information. Regarding textbooks, I firmly believe that they will always be necessary. The feeling of touching them can't be replaced by any other device.

Technoogy is quite usefull, no doubt about that, but there is no technology that can replace the use of books, and it is our task to teach why (for instance, by drawing upon history). The use of technology in classroom is overestimated, and sometimes we lose sight of the fact that our forebear achieved their goals with the "only" help of effort, something that nowadays is dissapearing.

One reason to use textbooks instead of tablets in education is that the student's attention could be disturb with the temptation of notifications, games, or other non-educational applications. Moreover, I think that the eyes of the students suffer more with tablets. Besides, the brains must learn to writte with hands.

In my humble opinion, Textbooks and tablets both have advantages and disadvantages in education. Textbooks are reliable, don’t need charging, and help students focus without digital distractions. They can also improve reading comprehension and allow for easy note-taking. However, they are often heavy, expensive to replace, and can become outdated quickly.

Tablets, on the other hand, offer access to a wide range of digital resources, videos, and interactive activities that can make learning more engaging. They are lighter to carry and can store thousands of books in one device. Still, tablets can be distracting, cause eye strain, and depend on electricity and internet access.

As a teacher, I also notice that tablets encourage creativity and collaboration among students, but they may widen the gap between those who have access to technology at home and those who do not. Finding a balance between both tools can help create a more effective and inclusive learning environment.

In my opinion, the main advantage of introducing tablets into the classroom lies in their appeal to students, which increases their motivation to learn.

On the other hand, the widespread use of tablets in education could reinforce addiction to new technologies, reduce creativity, and affect students' attention spans. In addition, the implementation of new technologies does not encourage the improvement or practice of handwriting, which explains why students are increasingly less familiar with spelling rules.

In conclusion, the introduction of tablets as an educational resource offers vast possibilities in the educational landscape, although they present disadvantages that justify the need to give textbooks a certain prominence. A proper balance between both methodologies could enrich learning and guarantee a quality education.

I think it's very beneficial for children not to have to carry a heavy backpack on their backs. In the text, we saw that this is one of the most repeated arguments in favor of tablets. But just because there are digital books does not mean that everything has to be digital; you can still use notebooks and write by hand. We can do crafts or physical education.

To conclude, I find it very difficult to understand the debate, as I do not consider them to be mutually exclusive.

On the other hand, technology, without a clear educational purpose, it becomes as just a toy for kids.
