Hi everyone! Here is my poster, informed consent form, and interview guide for my project, Smart Aging: Exploring the role of AI in supporting older adults. My plan for recruitment is to post these flyers across Toronto in neighbourhoods representing various socioeconomic demographics to get a wide range of perspectives.

I'll be reaching out to seniors' centres, walk-in clinics, and libraries in these neighbourhoods for permission to post the flyer. Potential participants will have the option to reach out via e-mail or leave a voicemail, so as not to exclude anyone who doesn't have e-mail access.

I'm looking forward to hearing your feedback, I had a difficult time making my poster less wordy so any suggestions are very welcome.

Link to the informed consent form: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Zrg4j5q6oQ07-wNf-3GtFbDTVofTOTDd/view?usp=sharing

Link to the interview guide: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IsbxZ-d-Nns5kfhboMgK5v8bE-eXsYHN/view?usp=sharing

Thanks so much!

Hi everyone! For my capstone project, I am exploring how family changes impact the quality of life of older adults in the Peel Region. To begin recruitment, I will be using several tools: a flyer on the Nextdoor app, a letter of invitation and consent forms (for both in-person and online interviews), a demographic questionnaire, and an interview guide. These ensure participation is voluntary and confidential. I am nervous about whether enough older adults will respond, since recruitment depends on self-enrollment and snowball sampling. At the same time, I feel optimistic because the Nextdoor platform is widely used and can help me reach participants who want to share their experiences. Thank you in advance for any feedback!

Hi everyone

My name is wossen As the global population ages, understanding the quality of life (QoL) in older adults has become a growing priority for health professionals, researchers, and policymakers. Quality of life is a complex concept that goes beyond physical health — it includes emotional well-being, social connections, financial stability, independence, and life satisfaction.

Older adults face unique challenges such as chronic illness, loss of mobility, loneliness, and reduced access to care, all of which can impact their daily lives and overall well-being. However, their own perspectives on what defines a good quality of life are often overlooked.

This research aims to explore how older adults define and experience quality of life, identify key factors that influence it, and examine the cause and effect relationships between these factors. By better understanding their lived experiences, this study seeks to inform improvements in care, support services, and community resources that promote healthier and more fulfilling lives for older adults. link https://sheridanc-my.sharepoint.com/:w:/g/personal/alemante_shernet_sheridancollege_ca/EY4i8eTQ8M1NsWDNj9Z42nsBG9IdLZoT32Di5WvGYbxrbQ?e=09mk7h

Hi Everyone, my project is about the impact of stress and social networks on the health of Canadian. The purpose of this research is to analyze the link between stress, social networks, and health outcomes among Canadians and to give some insight into that relationship. It is possible that the findings may assist in the development of laws and programs that will increase social support system improvements and mental health treatments. It has been demonstrated via research that social connections are a significant factor in determining health; having a greater number of social relationships is associated with reduced levels of stress and improved psychological well-being.

Here is the link

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Et7dZrQoDfaPExIQsZMPMit0f0kXAcfk5bsqYQGyRLA/edit?tab=t.0
