As challenge tests the hero's strength and courage. All these things did test my character and abilities as a student. I kept asking myself why I was trying so hard when I could have just done the average.

Like the hero would fight their enemy, I fought to get a good grade on my finals. A hero prepares with training, I prepared with studying. All year was leading up to these tests, similarly to how a hero would have waited the whole story to fight the ultimate villain. It was a hard battle but I ddi make it to the end and when it was over I felt so good. So acomplished.

The hero's transformation is after the final challenge and they have become a different person. While I didn't really change that much psychically, I had a different mindset. I began to believe that I could accomplish things and doing work wasn't just for nothing, it was for me. I see the world differently, like a hero would, its kind of like a game and you have to keep putting your best foot forward to get ahead. High school wasn't that scary, it just tests and challenges you to be the best you.

A threshold guardians is someone or something that challenges the hero's strength and courage to see if they are ready for there quest. Thats what all the unknowns did for me, they prepared me for almost everything that could have gone wrong. All the variables of the high school made overcome my fear of all the high school stereotypes and cross the threshold into the unknown.
