Position towards the vaccination process in Colombia:
Since the laboratories began to create vaccines, not only did I feel mistrust of them, but several thoughts began to come to my <del>head </del>(mind is better) as what would happen in case the vaccines do not work or the person has a bad reaction with these doses? Several cases have been seen since scientists began to distribute the doses (thoses ---to avoid repetition). We are always the last country to start with it, but it was important to start vaccinating both "doctors and elderly" health personnel, since they were always helping those affected by the virus; and to the elderly, to prevent their relatives from suffering and to reduce the contagion. I think that by next year we will all be vaccinated, but we are not going to trust that this will happen either.

From my point of view, Colombia has not only been one of the most delayed countries to start vaccination but also has a terrible organization in this procedure. Since the vaccination process began in this country, I have seen different news reports showing negative aspects of the organization of this. Firstly, the number of doses that had been proposed before the vaccines arrived in the country was changed. Doses were reduced in some cities and increased in others. Secondly, vaccination stages were assigned (which I don't think is wrong). The problem is at the moment doctors are vaccinating the elderly, but some have had problems with the place they must <del>meet </del>go to<del> </del>the appointment because they are assigned outside their city. Some have chosen either to travel to the city where they were cited or miss the opportunity to be vaccinated. Likewise, vaccination places don't accomplish precautionary measures to avoid the spread of the virus. Finally, I consider that both aspects; the number of doses and the organization, should have a better approach so that people don't have problems at the time of being vaccinated and the rest of the process be tidier.
- Catalina Ramírez

The vaccination process in Colombia is neither effective nor efficient in obtaining vaccines. Although the rich countries are taking most of them, there hasn´t been a correct management of the Colombian government. Many Latin American countries started vaccinating months ago; however in Colombia the vaccines only arrived last month. Both the government and us , we must have conscience to distribute the vaccines, we have to respect the established order. We shouldn't generate panic or fear to believe everything that is shown in the media such as in the news or social networks. In conclusion, both patience and tolerance are essential factors that all Colombians must have in order to finally have the desired results.

As far as I know, the vaccination process in Colombia is working well, why? Because many people are being vaccinated and that’s the important, consequently, many older people won’t die because the coronavirus, however the vaccination process should be quicker, but I’m aware this is Latin America;

therefore, the process and the arrangements won’t be fast. Even when everyone was vaccinated, we could either wear mask or wash our hand regularly, in <del>the </del>other words, if you are vaccinated, it doesn’t mean that you don’t have to take care of <del>about </del>your health. Besides many things will change in the “new reality”. I´ve heard that many people said the vaccine is dangerous, you don’t have to let they vaccine you, but in my point of view, we have to be aware about the current situation, and the scientific corporation won’t sell dangerous things towards people, so we should be aware about what we believe, in conclusion we need be patient with the vaccination process and take care ourselves, while we get the vaccine, and don’t let the scary and fake news kill our peace and happiness.

The government has already made both a mediocre and a foolish job. Not only have they made a business from the vaccines selling them to VIP customers but they have also paid more than other countries for them. Nevertheless, the vaccines are coming, but there are some people who believe that they are designed to control our brains and that kind of stupidity. They are neither going to vaccine themselves nor let the other people do it, spreading both misinformation and fear. I think that we either give it a try and take the vaccine or we still stay locked up just as we are.

In my opinion, the vaccination process in Colombia does not work as expected not only by the fault of the government but also for the fault of their people. In our country neither WE have enough vaccines for everybody nor have a good plan to distribute them. I think both the government and people have the responsibility TO DO??because some people are taking the vaccination without being really allowed by the distribution plan, that has a priority for a kind of community like elders and health workers. I think people should respect the rules and don't take the turn of another person just because they have money or a privilege for being linked to the government and also I think that the government should not allow this kind of corruption.

Although I consider that it is fine to celebrate the arrival of the vaccines, government officials not only had their moment of capturing and publishing photos of the vaccines all over the media, but also promoting populism and spectacle instead of continuing with the plan they had for the application and distribution of the vaccines. As evidenced in some videos posted on social networks, government officials only wanted to look good for the photo by promoting both political postures that take advantage of the moment instead of prioritizing the distribution and application of vaccines.

According to “El Expectador” 547,880 doses of the Sinovac vaccine arrived in Bogotá on March 7, from China. However, the process of those vaccines has been complicated because there are still many regions in the country that haven't received any of those doses.Whereas Bogotá has been the city with most doses applied so far. Thinking on that, I understand that this process takes time because per se it is a miracle that vaccines are ready so fast. Thus, we need to be expectant about this event whether we want it or not because it's really important. This event is not only important but also historical, hence our country needs to be patient and wait for the results of those vaccines, and if it's possible obtain more doses.

More and more countries worldwide are beginning the mass vaccination process, which is developing unevenly between countries with more and fewer resources. Certainly, this is the case of Colombia, one of the last countries to start vaccination, and although the first 50,000 doses arrived, they do not guarantee either the amount promised by the president or what the country actually needs. On the other hand, there are divided opinions regarding the vaccines that will be applied in the first instance since the two vaccines that will be applied both Pfizeer and AztraZeneca generate many doubts in the middle of the implementation of the national vaccination plan. Despite this, many affirm that they would not only be vaccinated but also that they will continue to maintain biosecurity standards to counteract the virus. Beyond that, the truth is that the country is still in a health emergency and immediate action is needed by the national government and citizens.

And I can confirm these rumors because neither my parents nor my stepsister believed the arrival of vaccines this year.

According to the report of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, from the first 48 hours of vaccination against COVID-19, 7854 members of the health personnel who are on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19 received the first dose of the vaccine against the virus. For me (include comma) this was the best decision that the state could have made because all the health personnel <del>is </del> are the one who haVE been in front of all of us, they risked their lives and their families to take care of our lives and protect us, so this was a good decision.
And in my opinion the vaccination process in Colombia, I think that With the arrival of the first vaccines, and the start of vaccination on February 17, there may be hope for Colombia, which we hope will be the beginning of the end of the pandemic.

Not only <del>does </del>it createS difficulties for developing countries, but it also takes time and involves both negotiation skills and organizational skills in each country. In the case of Colombia, which is the subject of the first part of the question, most of the Colombians are still hesitant about getting a vaccine. The majority of those people neither believe that really exist covid-19 nor the possible good effects of the vaccine. Furthermore, as the Secretary of Health prepared a target platform for this process, so it became a slow and gradual process neither quick nor organised.

my point of view is that in Colombia it is very difficult to have any hope of anything positive. In the case of the vaccination plan against Covid-19, neither the number of vaccines nor the vaccination process has been clear or convincing. As aresult of <del>of</del> government management, we could say that the 50,000 Pfizer doses that have already arrived in the country represent only 0.9% of the total population. I consider that for the immunity process against Covid to be effective, it is necessary not only to have the right amount of vaccines but also the best planning, because as it is already customary in Colombia both corruption and oligarchy is always present. Finally it is important that we inform ourselves about these vaccination processes, so that we do not believe that the government is doing amazing things, when in reality very little is being achieved.

In my opinion, the vaccination process will be so hard to complete, because the government acquired the vaccine late in comparison with other countries in America. While other countries had the different contracts and the date the vaccines would be delivered, Colombia hardly started the negociation. Regarding to the vaccination process will be complicated, some departments and politicians aren't serious with this topic, it has been registered many issues in topics like refrigeration and the bad ways some people turn to obtain the vaccine before the people who really need this, among others. According to "The economist" Colombia only will be immunize on a large scale in the final part of 2022. And pitifully this could be a truth if the government and us don't take the appropiate actions.

Colombia has been already started vaccination and based on what I read and see, it is not like the government explained us. The plan is to vaccinate 35 million people against Covit-19 by the end of the year. Besides, looking at other countries, I feel uncertain because Colombia already overcome stands in the way in the negotiations but, I think that the delay that we had did not give us time to be prepared. There is a limited time not only to transport but also to administer and keep in the right temperature the vaccine, which is difficult in a hot weather country like Colombia. I know that Colombia got vaccines from different laboratories, and some of those either need to be stored in cold or supercold temperatures so we have to look at how the entities manage this.

As we know, Colombia still in a sanitary emergency, therefore not only vaccines can be a great help to overcome this but also is necessary better intervene in the government to control this pandemic.

In the last two years, there has been speculation about Covid 19, not only the use of masks, but also the implementation of Covid 19 vaccines. In this sense, a complex debate has been generated as this is good but it can also be bad. From my point of view, I consider that this issue cannot be taken lightly, because it must be taken into account that the constitution protects the right of the human being to not agree to have the freedom to choose about their health. I consider that, taking it from this perspective is not only intelligent but also protects the freedom of the human being. We must not forget that we live in a free country and people have the right to decide. However, it is also necessary to take into account to what extent it is good to limit either quarantine people who do not want to be vaccinated or this may represent an undue intrusion to the freedom of people.

Currently, Colombia is one of the countries that has the need to immunize the largest number of the population, both the first and second doses of vaccination against Covid 19. This vaccine helps the immune system to fight the virus and thus prevent infection. contagion from other people. That is why the Ministry of Health has organized a vaccination process, whether low-income or high-income people.

At some time in the pandemic, when the lockdown began, my family were very nervous about the virus about covid 19, but then, when the government announced the possible solution to that and presented the vaccines, my family reacted negatively; because their beliefs were that these vaccines contained something bad for the organism.
But, in my view, I always saw a solution or an alternative to fighting against the virus. For this reason, both my sister and I were the first family members to apply the vaccine, and at the same time, we showed that there was no effect after application. Overall to that, I consider that the vaccination process is a good strategy for all to prevent the virus and protect our families or who suffers from a health problem.

In my opinion, vaccination in Colombia was a rather chaotic process; not only the government's handling but also our position as a society. Nowadays many Colombians reject the vaccine and do not plan to get vaccinated. In addition, the lines and the search for the second dose were quite outrageous. This makes me think that our behavior as a society is a bit ironic. It is no secret that many families were fighting a deadly virus and what they wanted most was a solution; it was their life or being in a hospital fighting for it. Clearly, it was a quick, somewhat forced, and ill-timed implementation, but we cannot deny that it was either cooperating as a society or continuing to hide from a virus that wiped out families, jobs, educational processes, and our mental health.

Eventually the pandemic surprised everyone, obviously including Colombia, affected both children and the elderly regardless of age, and in general affected both physical and mental health. Consequently the situation forced us into a quarantine where neither there was any possibility of going out nor sharing with other people, which was not only difficult but also traumatic. But there is always light at the end of the tunnel, and that is when vaccines start to be imported around the world. As Colombia, for example, was a country where the distribution process did not take so long, I think that in spite of all the circumstances in the country, not only was access to the vaccine achieved, but also the importance of getting it was promoted.

The vaccination process has been neither good nor bad. I believe that there are maneuvers that the president has taken that have been done both well and badly. This means that several people have had the privilege or the need to be vaccinated and have done so. However, other people have not been able to do so due to the lack of attention to certain more vulnerable areas of the country. And just as it happens with vaccination, so it happens with other important situations (arming conflict, displaced by violence, poverty, hunger, lack of education, etc). In this order of ideas, the government not only ignores the vulnerable and lower class people, but also takes away the opportunity to take care of a pandemic that attacks us every day.

The vaccination process has generated endless controversies in the Colombian population. One of them is the side effects that vaccines can generate. Although it was not entirely proven, some people believed false news and were more likely not to be vaccinated. Moreover, the consequences were remarkable as people did neither get vaccinated nor take care of themselves to save other people's lives. Another controversial issue was the existence of a chip that was fitted at the time of vaccination and the consequences were the same. In spite of all this, most people, including the elderly, could be saved because they either got vaccinated or did not contract the virus until after the vaccination. However, there were people who could not be saved in spite of both because of health conditions and could not get the vaccine. Finally, according to Así va la vacunación en Colombia, the country has managed to vaccinate more than 35 thousand inhabitants in order to not only reduce the rate of contagion but also to prevent people from dying.

Both my younger brother and me consider that vaccination in Colombia is a bussines, because throught our tax our govermentors obtain ilicit cash. For example: In colombia las EPS, neither give a good service nor realize the adecuate process of vaccination. Because, the vaccines run out and the citizens can't finalize their complete vaccination schedule. On the other hand, I consider that is important to mencion not only side effects but also the consequence in our body in th future. In mi case the side effects were many and painful because i had never felt sick and exhausted. In the same way I was talking with other girls about the vaccines and they told me " My body has changed a lot after this moment" , of course that I know that all vaccine has side effect but this is a trial vaccine. Finally in Colombia, everything that involves or generates money is a business for our rulers, since they have been corrupted and they care more about money than the lives of Colombians, for this reason we must know how to choose and be aware of the importance of our vote.

Either the difficulties that COVID-19 caused, or is causing now, feelings about the pandemic are more positive every day. Not only since of the vaccine but also because the cases of death by the virus have decreased. Also the normal life is returning little by little, both social distancing and the use of masks are beginning to be much more flexible than the beginning of the health emergency. As goes current situation, so goes the citizens patience making small steps so the restrictions that were imposed as a result of COVID are gradually abolished. Whereas that this situation is not over, we need to stay positive and specially careful.

The pandemic was a situation that affected us all either economically or affectively. Not only were we locked up but also forced us to live intimately with our families and that is where the real problems of coexistence arose. Neither was easy for anyone to accept being locked up, nor we have a choice because the virus affected us twice as much.
In my case, I had to choose either to leave Bogota or to stay, the decision was difficult but I decided to stay in Bogota. It was not only a question of leaving but also had to think that in Junín neither had a good Internet connection, nor have a computer where I could watch the classes.

I have my 2 vaccines and nothing happened as people have said. My parents are health workers and both of them know the importance of the covid 19 vaccine and taught us how vaccines work in all cases.
Also, here in Colombia, many people have received their vaccines, not only do they think is good but also is required in a lot of places, like cinemas, bars, universities, etc. the old people around their 50-60 think that the covid vaccine is bad or unsafe and Unfortunately, they are the people how are in the emergency room. Because whether you like it or not, covid 19 vaccine save us to have really bad symptoms or dead and many people don't understand that either people have said that or they have seen a lot of misinformation, we have to be aware about public health.
