I learned to ride at the North Branch Elementary School playground. Mom took me there on many summer nights and ran with me until I finally took off. Thanks, Mom!

I don't remember learning how to ride a bike exactly. I do remember just after getting my training wheels off, going down a hill by my house... Scraped up my nose and cheek.

I remember that I started with training wheels.

I lived in town so I learned to ride on my quiet road

with my dad holding on to the back until I got

myself going and then I would drive down to the

next driveway and back. I took the training

wheels off after a lot of practice with my

mom and dad's help. Then I was off to ride with my

friends!
