This caused her to make the decision to help out the British forces (who were fighting WW1). She created the Nili Spy Organization, which was a ring of spies passing coded information to the British. Eventually, she was caught and was incarcerated and tortured for 4 days When she was granted permission to go home to change her blood-stained clothes, she decided to end her life by shooting a gun into her mouth.
