Today I learned different ways to cut an onion. But the important things to know is to always to have a sharp knife, put your cutting board on a firm surface, prevent yourself from crying, different ways to cut an onion and finally, the most important thing is safety. I also learned that sulfur is the important chemical in the onion. That is the reason why your eyes water when cutting onions. To prevent this, either put the onions in a bowl of water to wash away the fungus, or put them in the freezer for about 10 minutes.
