]]> 2019-04-10 15:41:34 UTC https://padlet.com/danielbailey5414/zkrfn34wavx1/wish/350413083 danielbailey5414 https://padlet.com/danielbailey5414/zkrfn34wavx1/wish/350413557     Amazing, that is what me and my group thought of our performance.  Everyone played their part of the songs very well and with much confidence.  For “Take Me to Church”, me and Deshawn stayed on beat with the other group members.  We did not play as individual instruments, but as one group.  From the very first time we started the songs, I have learned new rhythms and how to listen to the other instruments in a group.  I would say the hardest part of playing in a chamber is that you have few(if any) other people playing the same parts as you.  So, if you make a mistake, it is harder to know what measure and beat everyone else is.

Our group has a hard time staying on task but by the end of the day we get through all of the problem areas in our pieces. The most difficult song at the moment is "Take me To Church" because of the switching time signature. I was really nervous when we performed but as a whole our nerves helped us play better. All of the pieces went GREAT. Right now me and Daniel are trying to fix staying together on “take me to church”. The beginning is difficult to play for us mainly because we are the only ones playing the melody at that point and we have to convert their quarter notes into our sixteenth notes so we are not off with the rest of the group. Some members of the group often have disagreements and have a difficult time staying focused on playing but most times we get through parts of the songs we need to get through. We had a lot of debates of which person was right about melodies, rhythms etc. our final performance wasn't the best we've ever played but it was good and i'm proud that we worked as a team to play all the pieces through successfully. We all contributed to the groups efforts and me and Daniel worked good as a pair together to make the rhythms and certain notes easier for us.
