I am not religious, but was raised Christian and wanted to see if I did have bias being more familiar with one religion over others. The result surprised me because of how the test was set up. I was thinking of my family this whole time when I was answering the questions. Both of my parents are family-oriented people and have been working their whole life. However, I have always seen my dad as a financial provider and my mom was playing a role of a wife, mother, teacher, etc. in the family. Hence the results of the test I guess. Yet It is also later in the day and I am feeling quite tired. What an interesting test though! Besides the word association in the beginning, there wasn't much lead up to the main questions. In any case the classification exercise I found to be slightly flawed because you naturally become more proficent as you go and they placed the associating White with bad intially and then by the time you got to the section of associating Black with bad you were better at doing the test.  As a side note, I found it a great exercise to be associating Black skin with good and I wonder if it could have the effect of accomodating schemas of race discrimination and lead to equilibration.]]> 2020-07-27 18:47:45 UTC https://padlet.com/cmtrents/zkqs2ai9xc7m86mr/wish/663519549
