         <title>Evolution of House Cat</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>House cats have evolved from wild cats in Asia. But rather then evolving by themselves humans caused the evolution. Around 10,000 years ago Egyptians began to build a relationship with wild cats, they even worshiped cats. In other parts of the world they were kept around to control rodent problems in agriculture. These were the first steps to the modern house cat. Over time cats have been "slayed" and domesticated. When humans migrated with cats this caused them to evolve to have things like long hair for cold weather. Humans also caused evolution when they took advantages of genetic mutations like bob-tails (an abnormally short tail) and breading cats with super short legs. Taking advantages of caused a genetic mutation to become a new bread of cat. Now cats have evolved to be smaller and friendlier. A similar thing has happened to many other dog breads. For example dachshunds were much larger 50 years ago but, now because of humans they have evolved to be much smaller. Humans can speed up the process of evolution by breading cats with genetic mutations and selling them. This will probably continue to happen. This has happened with plenty of other domesticated animals too, such as horses, dogs, and cows. Though some of the breading is causing animals to evolve badly. For instance breading these animals can transfer health problems from one bread to another. In short, the modern house cat has come a long way through the years and continues to change.</div>]]></description>
