I used these emojis because although the IPads are addicting, they are very useful. For example, it would be easier to do the Padlet in class after instead of doing it at home. Also, in case you do not know the meaning of a word, you can use the IPad to look it up. One argument that the author is slightly making is that people should not try to conquer another people’s land.
