The success of the first edition of #ErasmusDays in 2017 (650 events, 11 countries, 324 cities and 52 million people reached through social medias) has led to reschedule this European festival based on the Erasmus brand on Friday 12th of October and Saturday 13th of October 2018. Not only does #ErasmusDays bring together the players of the Erasmus + programme, but also all the stakeholders of international mobility and European citizenship. The very simple idea is to communicate on Erasmus brand and disseminate Erasmus + projects results over two specific days in order to be visible by citizens, professionals, medias and policy makers and in accordance with two possible ways : all the Erasmus + programme players (educational and training institutions, companies, research centres, chambers of trades, employment agencies, organisations and NGOs, etc.) are invited to showcase the impact of their projects. Each institution is free to organise every kind of event, including seminars, partner meetings, photo exhibitions, concerts, radio shows, conferences, hackathons, digital activities… The events will be registered and visible on www.erasmusdays.eu (opening in June) and on the social networks with #ErasmusDays. the nine million former beneficiaries and the current citizen beneficiaries (school children and teenagers, students, apprentices, teachers and instructors, youth actors) as well as civil society representatives (European organizations, parents associations, etc.) will be demonstrating their pride in being European and their commitment to Europe. 2018 is the European Year of Cultural Heritage. It is the perfect opportunity to specifically involve cultural players. With 26 countries involved in the citizens’ consultations on Europe, the #ErasmusDays represent a high point for the organization of debates on Europe. Activities promoting both our Project and the erasmus projects in general for our students within the dissemination activities of our project CO.D.E 4all will be planned. For example, a matching game of the flags with the EU countries. Puzzles belonging to the respective countries will be played. For example; the flags of Austria, Portugal, Netherlands, Italy, Spain will be used to write the word “Spain” according to its initials.
QR codes will be placed in several locations around the school. Some of them will lead to videos introducing the European countries, while some others to texts on the activities of our Project. The student scanning the QR code will be directed to the classroom where that activity is being organized so that (s)he can join the offline and online coding activities there.
A treasure hunt game will be played with hidden words around the school. When the words are written together; they will read: “Erasmus Day”.
Videos giving information about erasmus will be screened on the TVs around the school corridors.
Students will be asked to write “erasmus day” by using the pixilart software. It will be displayed on Padlet. All of them will be shared on the website, youtube and etwinning accounts of our school as well as the social media platforms with #ErasmusDays hashtag. The cultural highlights, museums, watch towers and so on in our city will be visited on Oct 13. Brochures on UNESCO-protected sites will be distributed.
