It is currently the most threatened feline on Earth. Indeed, the Iynx can only be seen in the mountains of Andujar in the province of Jaen and here, in Doñana, where the only surviving sea-level population lives on the plains.
Imperial Eagle: The other emblem of Doñana is nearly as threatened as the Lynx. Our park is on of the last refuges, home to only 10 pairs of eagles.
Spur-thighed tortoise: This cute, threatened reptile species lives in the sandy of Doñana, one of the few places where it can be found. It is vegetation and can live almost 100 years
Wild pig: The wild boars of the Iberian peninsula are smaller in size and weight. There are also geographical variations within the peninsula, with a decrease in size and weight to wards the south. The baeticus subspecies is only found in the south of the Iberian peninsula.
Water rat: Overgrazing causes the disappearance of water rats in Doñana due to loss of habitat quality due to trampling. Subspecies restricted to Portugal and southern Spain.
