People said that my accent sounds very sharp. Ever since I was in middle school I was mocked and laughed on. I think all throughout high school it was the same but more silent like they wouldn't say things at my face. University was different. I saw some many people from my home country and I felt safe. It gets better.

I am a Chinese boy who moved to another country and people did not like the way I spoke saying it was funny/weird. I don't think my accent or language was weird, it is just because i was different among a whole group of people. However, they realized that I was a very capable person and I could do a lot XD I am proud of who I am and I don't care about others and their mean opinions on my accent and language.

I am a Canadian girl who grew up speaking English literally all the time. I completely agree with you; it's time to speak up now! Because if we don't, then it'll be too late. So many people in my school are immigrants, and I LOVE hearing all their experiences, and I just find them so cool. They know so many languages. However, I mean, people still bully the heck out of these wonderful people, and I hate that. No school policies or anything help, and teachers honestly don't even care. Not sure if this is everywhere, but at my school it is. I love languages, and I can't wait to learn some in the future. Also, accents are so unique and lovely.
