Learning from Assignments:

Working on the group video assignment was a valuable experience that helped me connect what we learn in class to real-life situations. The topic, "House Husband and Work Wife," provided insight into how gender roles influence both families and the workplace. Before this assignment, I didn’t fully understand how deeply factors like gender, ethnicity, and class shape people's roles and responsibilities. Creating the video and discussing these themes with my group allowed me to explore in a meaningful way.

Application of Concepts:

The lessons and assignments from this course have significantly changed the way I think about gender, ethnicity, and class . Now, I notice how these factors influence family, career choices, and societal expectations. For instance, the concept of a "house husband" challenges traditional ideas that men should always be the breadwinners and women should take care of the home. I also understand how these ideas vary across different cultures and social classes, which has made me more open-minded.

Personal Growth:

Before this, I rarely noticed how these factors influenced my own life or the lives of those around me. Now, I feel more informed and empathetic, which motivates me to challenge my own biases and be more respectful of others
