Everyone sits in a circle passing around the Ajaga seeing who can spear the bone.

All you need is a string about 5-6 inches long, attached to a bone from a bearded seal or any bone with one or more holes in it. At the other end of the string is a small bone tip about 2-3 inches long.

You hold the spear in your dominant hand and toss up the bone trying to get the bone on the spear. It may look easy but it’s very time sensitive. If you get the caribou on the spear you keep going, if not the Ajaga is passed on.

This gets the kids moving, teaching them to be patient (waiting for their turn)

Have the children sit in a circle get two children lay flat they have to try flip the other child over they keep going till the other child can’t get all the children over one by one

get the children to sit next to each other on their butts, once they’re sat, theyll have to cross their legs and hold onto the feet, then they’ll hop on their butts until the finish line.

In this activity, children will take turns drum dancing. Learn how to hold the Inuit drum and stick.

Materials: Inuit Drum, stick

Material Preparation:

1. Have preschool children sit in a circle. 2. Place a drum and stick in the centre of the circle. Have one child stand in the center.

Activity Steps:

3. Have them hold the drum and stick and move with their arms swaying back and forth motion. 4. Have them move side to side with their legs going in circular motion. 5. Have them dance along following the drum noise. 6. Place the drum and stick down for the next child to take a turn.

Equipment: None

Stance and Start: Competitor stands on a

set line. Movement: Thrusting body forward with

legs, put both hands on floor in front of

you and hop into squat position. Do

another hop in the same way, and then

leap forward as far as you can in broad

jump fashion. You must land on two feet.

Judging and Scoring: Competitor must

land balanced on two feet. Farthest

distance wins. Distance is measured from

the line to the point of landing. The best

out of three jumps

For materials just need an open clean space.

This will help them with their physical domain, building strength.

Have the children to sit in a circle to wait for they’re turn or to keep an eye on the ball to see if it is kicked from the one foot high kicker ..

You will need a long stick with a string attached to a ball, you can use a little stuffed animal or a folded sock to use for the ball ..

Get a student to hold the end of the stick and hold up high for the high kicker to try and kick the ball/stuffed animal ,
