1. I was impressed by all the teamwork that went into group projects and also how everyone began to understand Chinese more by having to do presentations by memory without forgetting any characters.
2. The part of this class that would help me the most in a college class is the sentence structures, and the different ways to memorize each character. I also think that knowing the basics will help a lot, it will give a better chance to the understanding of college level Chinese. The learning of body parts, foods, weather, schedule, etc. will really benefit us going into a college level class because the college will expand on that information and go more detailed, so it is a good thing that we learned the basics of Chinese first.
3. The most interesting thing that happened in class was the Chinese new year creations, where we had to create paper designs for the Chinese new year. One more thing that was very interesting was the amount of projects we had. We did have a lot of projects but I believe that the projects helped our communication skills as well as our Chinese.
4. The past 2 years were somewhat stressful but it was worth it in the end. This has been an amazing class with an amazing teacher. 谢谢老师.

As a class, we became a family whether we liked it or not and we all benefitted.

2. The thing from this class that could help is the use of music to help study and remember topics.

3. The most interesting thing
was our Chinese New Year celebration in Year 1. We had good food and presentations that made it very fun.

4. I have had a lot of fun in this class, good times and bad times, but it was worth it in the long run.

I was most impressed with my ability to comprehend a new language. I learned many new words and sentence structures in Chinese and how to apply them to daily conversations. For instance, if I were to ever go to China I would know how to order food in Chinese or buy items from a market place. If I were to learn Chinese in my college year the part of class that will help me the most is when we were given a topic and we had to use our resources to learn the words based on that given topic. This shows that I can use my resources to define the new words without the teacher having to tell me. I can teach my self and comprehend the lessons easily by this method of learning. The most interesting thing that happened in this class is the Chinese fashion. It was really fun using the words we learned from the videos we watched and applying them to Chinese culture. It was fun thinking of how we could incorporate Chinese elements and culture into an outfit and as a result have a fashion show performance. Another part of Chinese class that was fun was Chinese New Year. So at the end of the day I would like to Thank you (Lao shi) for making this a fun and enjoyable experience were I got to learn a new culture and broadening my views on different aspects. Everything you have taught me these past 2 years will definitely stick with me for the rest of my life.

1. In this class, what impressed me the most was how everyone in the class improved over the year, and how during group projects, we were able to work together to create cohesive presentations that helped others learn new material.
2. If I continue to learn Chinese in college, I believe that the part of this class that will help me the most is learning the basic sentence structures associated with different topics, including placement, buying and selling items, and simple greetings.
3. The most interesting thing that happened in the class was the Chinese Fashion Show. I believe that it was a very fun and interesting project that helped me apply what I learned by creating and describing the clothes our model wore. Another interesting thing that happened was the Chinese New Year activity we had during our first year. We ate different foods and participated in different activities like game and poetry. This helped me gain a better understanding of Chinese culture.
4. I would like to thank our teacher for teaching me for the past two years. You are one of my favorite teachers and I will use what you have taught me to help me in the future. I also will incorporate Chinese into my daily life. For instance, I watch, and will continue to watch, Chinese TV shows.

1. What most impressed me from this class was learning about Chinese culture and how it differs from American culture. Doing things such as the fashion show, paper crafts that are still hanging on our door windows, and watching Chinese movies really helped me learn and understand how Chinese people think.
2. I think the part from this class which will be most helpful will be the basics that I learned in Year 1 because the words and sentence structures are so versatile in many situations.
3. The most intersting thing to happen in the class were probably the projects, especially the ones where we had to come up with our own original ideas, because it allowed people to really open up and express themselves through a different language in creative ways, such as the fashion show dresses or the books.
4. At first, I was kind of scared because Chinese looked really intimidating to learn as each word was its own drawing and they all have different tones, but thanks to your teaching style, learning Chinese was really fun through all the stressful times and I learned so much in such little time. I may not learn more or use my knowledge to the fullest, but I'm going to miss this class and the 好老师 who taught me. 谢谢和再见！

I was also able to use them within both years of the class.
2) If I continue to learn Chinese in the future, the most important thing or the thing that will help me the most would probably be the self taught power points. While creating sentences and slides, I made a resource I can continue to use outside of class.
3) The 2 most interesting things that occurred in this class were the Chinese New Year and the Fashion year. These events made me want to continue to learn about Chinese and also allowed me to have fun.
4) I would say that this class caught me off guard in a good way. I did not think I would be able to enjoy the class and look forward to it like I currently do. I am actually going to miss gaining a little piece of china every week. To tell the truth I mostly spend my summer watching Chinese dramas.

The thing about this class that impressed me the most was after studying and practicing, I was able to understand and comprehend sentences and phrases in Chinese. I was able to improve my ability to speak Chinese this year, as well as connecting sentences properly. I also was most impressed about how the pinyin could be the same, but if you changed a letter, or tone, it could give the word another meaning.
2. If I were to take a class such as this one in college, the most beneficial thing I learned was how to take notes (specific to Chinese). The pinyin, character, and english meaning in a certain order made sure I could recognize and differentiate all the different characters.
3. The most interesting thing in the class was, when we decorated the classroom with cranes, and other folded items. It was also interesting when we listened to Chinese songs and learned the ways of the Chinese people. I genuinely enjoyed this class!
4. I really enjoyed having you as a teacher!

1. Outside of the classroom, Chinese has proven to be a versatile tool. The ability to understand people of a different culture, even if it is only in fragments, proved positively overwhelming.
2. Of course, as a result of my Chinese experience I am confident in a continuation of the subject. Two facets which I will bring with me towards new heights are the cooperation predicated between my Chinese contemporaries and, obviously, the nuances of every Chinese character, lesson, and experience.
3. At time the classwork may seem tedious, and the work may seem inundated. But, amidst the constant fear of failure, there have been two moments which have had an indelible impression upon me. For one, the generosity of my teacher - a person always willing to cooperate with students, and, if necessary, help them learn through every step of the way. Secondly, the overall home-like feeling from this classroom. Every moment it feels as if I have been ensconced into a place where learning is not only promoted but advocated for by a loving, endearing teacher.
4. I can't imagine another teacher in the world with as much dedication to the classroom and the subject as Dr. Cai. Every step of the way, you have been at the forefront, paving the way towards success without ever leaving room for anyone to fail. Without you, this classroom would be a shell of itself; you have molded my classroom and I into inquisitive students. For that I have to say...谢谢老师.

1. What impressed me most about this class is the Chinese culture that we learned. For example, when eating, I did not realize that there was a certain way to put chopsticks to show respect.
2. I think knowing the days of the week, clothes, food, and colors will help me the most if I choose to learn Chinese in my college year.
3. The most interesting thing was learning about the different festivals that take place in China.
4. I found it cool that Chinese and English are related. Saying your name, favorite color, and food are very easy once you learn them. Learning to write characters is also very fun.

1. I was impressed by how much Chinese I learned during this class. I was surprised at this because I thought that I would learn little Chinese because I was so used to speaking another language.
2. If I were to continue to learn Chinese next year, I think that the introduction and the oral presentations would help me the most because I have become more comfortable speaking Chinese thanks to those oral presentation.
3. The most interesting thing that happened in this class was when we learned about Chinese culture by making arts and craft such as the lotus flower, the Chinese clothing, and the New year's lantern.
4. Lastly I would like to say that I will miss being in this class, although sometimes the work was too much, I will always value the time and hard work that this class required.

1. I was and still am most impressed by how much i can actually understand and fully comprehend to the point where I can make multiple sentence around the use of one word. I am very amazed by this because before i would look at Chinese characters and i would think to my self how is it possible that people can actually read this and how it was actually a language. Just thinking about learning the language seemed nearly imposible. With a great teacher such as ours it is not a hard process and when they really take their time to really teach us just like Lao Shi it is not as hard as it seems.
2.Through Lao Shi's class I was really able to find out the best method for me to expand my knowledge of Chinese at a greater speed.
3. I believe that the most interesting thing that has happened to me in the class was how much i benefited from the Chinese songs and dances.
4. Thank you for everything.

If i continue to learn chinese in my college year i think that the food and drinks portion of this class will help me the most because of the variety of chinese food there is and i was already taught the basics of it.

3. The most interesting thing that happend in this class was the dances and songs we learned through out the class, i really enjoyed them.

I just want to thank Lao Shi for all the help she has given me in Chinese and making things really easy.
老师，谢谢

1. In this class, I was impressed about how much I learned and am able to use in the real world to hold conversations with others.
2. B continuing to learn Chinese in the college years, the most important part of this class that would help me the most would be the sentence structures that we learned. Learning the sentence structures helps you to be able to incorporate new things I learn to make well developed sentences.
3. The most interesting that happened in class was the weather presentation we had because we were able to act as if we were on T.V. and giving the forecast of the week.
4. Thank you Lao Shi for everything you have taught me because it will be very useful for me to know in the future.
