What are some strengths in the story and weaknesses? Also, what’s your general opinion of the story. Be honest, but not cruel! :)

I think that the story had good language making it very descriptive and providing good imagery. I also felt that the story felt very real and was quite realistic. Jude experienced difficult things throughout his life and it helped make the story very human like. I think a weakness of the story was how long it felt to read. In my opinion I didn't hate it but it definitely wasn't my favorite short story and I didn't feel like it grasped my attention very well.

The story is overall very gloomy and I can't help but feel sorry for the boy. I still don't understand how a mother could leave her son. The imagery and her way of words painted a lot of scenery and depiction for me which was very well written but the story itself was definitely a sadder and duller one in comparison to most short stories which are meant to be more enjoyable like the first short story we read.

The strengths of the story were that I really liked the type of language she used and how she described things. Also over all I did like the story, I liked it more than Haunting Olivia. However I do think that the story jumped around alot and it was kind of confusing to follow

I think the forward motion of the story and how the author moved the plot along was done well and she didn't spend too much time on one thing. Each element of Jude's story was given the right amount of time. Some of the transitions from one spot in Jude's life to another were a little difficult to follow so there were times when I was a little lost.

A strength of the story in my opinion was the plot. Although the progression was slow I thought the plot was good. Overall, the story wasn't that bad of a read.

Jude had an unlucky life but in a way he also came out okay, with enough money, a wife and daughter.

I felt like the story language made the story very real it gave similes and gave a great descriptive. There was also Imagery that made the story feel real as if you were there before. The main problem with this story was it was slow spaced .
I found this story okay but its a lot different from the books I enjoyed I am Surprised I like it a little.
