The school was one of the most important settings in The Battle of Jericho by Sharon M. Draper because many of the activities with the Warriors of Distinction took place there. Although the bullying and hazing was not as obvious at the school as it was in the warehouse, it still existed. Several adults who could have and should have stopped some of the behaviors that were going on witnessed the misconduct at the school, yet none of them put an end to it. Some of them even helped out behind the scenes as advisors or consultants to the club. Overall, the school should have been a safe place where the adults saw what was going on and put a stop to it. Instead, faculty members allowed too many bad things to happen.

One of the most important settings in the book Ghost by Jason Reynolds is Castle's room. Castle's room is important because it signifies a night to him that he will never forget. One night Castle was about to fall asleep and he heard his mom and dad arguing as usual, but then his mom came in the room and told him that they had to leave. When Castle reached the kitchen he saw his dad on the floor getting up with a pistol in his hand. Castle's dad shot at them but missed and they got away safely. Every time Castle goes into his room he remembers the night his dad shot at him and his mom. This is very important because it tells the reader why Castle doesn't sleep in his own room.

The track was the most important part of the book, because the book was about track. Castle Cranshaw at first didn't run track he was just doing it to prove a point. The first time he showed up was to race Lu. Every few pages in the book it talks about track in some kind of way. We learn that Castle is really good at it and coach sees himself in Castle after they can relate with each other. The coach gives Castle another chance and still lets him run track. Most of the story talks about track throughout the book. When reading the book it tells us how the coach has a motivation car and how track is ran , also it tells us what the different heats are. I think that the track is the main idea of the story.

The road where Cassie and her family were forced off the road was an important setting. It was important because the bus full of kids and the bus driver got what they deserved for driving Cassie and her family off the road. The bus driver and the kids were riding down the road and then saw Cassie and her family. They then proceeded to speed up to catch Cassie and her family to run them off of the road. After that Stacey came up with a plan to dig a deep whole so the bus would fall into the whole and get stuck. This was important because the bus full of kids and the bus driver were really mean and rude just because of Cassie and her family were black.

The Logans house is probably the most important setting because lots of the characters learn good lessons there like when Stacy's papa was telling him how there was a little fig tree and lots of other big trees surrounding it and he said that the fig tree never gave up because all the other trees were taking its sun light and it nutrients but it still produced fresh figs. another important part at the house is when big ma was scared that someone was gonna try to kill them so she grabbed her gun from up under little mans bed little man woke up a little bit later in the nightr] and there were weird sounds coming from outside so he went to go look and it was his dog but then these cars came rolling up and he got scared and he hid under his house.

The house where the Logans live is one of the most important settings in Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor because that is where most of the drama and events have occured. Almost every character in the story has an experience at that house, whether it's a meaningful conversation, a very bad situation, or just full of drama. And yet, the Logans feel the most safe at their house because they are happy to even have a home, and they all care about each other more than anything. The story all together was based on the great depression times and the racist times so the logans, who yes were black, was extremely grateful to even have a place to stay in the first place. And if it wasn't for the house and the Logans being together, it would tear them all apart. With the land to hold them together, nothing can tear the Logans apart. So that is why the Logan house is one of the most important settings in the story Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor

The warehouse was one of the most important places in The Battle of Jericho by Sharon M. Draper, due to many of the events that took place there. The warehouse is where all of the people in the book went for the toy drive, and at the toy drive they were asked to sign up for the Warriors of Distinction. As soon as this takes place they all sign up. When they go back they pledge to some crazy things basically saying that they would kill for one another. The warehouse, is also the place where the Warriors gather for meetings, and get together, also the organization interferes with their childhood of just being a student. Overall the warehouse is not an amazing place for young high school students to go because it is teaching them to steal, lie, kill, and much more.

In the story "Freak the Mighty" by Rodman Philbrick one of the main settings is Loretta's house. The reason why it's one of the main settings is because that's where Max met the very woman who was gonna save his life. So Max and Kevin (Freak) found Loretta's purse with her ID, etc.. so they returned it to her. But, when she met them she wasn't exactly to fund of them until she realized who exactly they were. When she noticed she had told them that she was friends with both of their parents. Later in the novel when Max's evil dad (Killer Kane) kidnaps him he tries to brainwash Max by telling him that he never has killed anyone in his life. But then when he ties Max up in a basement Loretta thinks that it is wrong so she goes down while Iggy tries to distract Killer Kane for a while but he comes out of the dark and starts choking Loretta until she's basically rendered dead and Max sees what type of person he truly is. I think this is the most important scene because its where everything really starts to fall in place about what type of person Killer Kane is.

The most significant setting in the Battle of Jericho by Sharon Drapper is definitely the school. Most of the story was set around the high school many conflicts and important parts happen at the school. One of the most important parts that happened at the school was the group named the warriors of distinction this group was set at school and many teachers and adults that worked at the school would treat the students that were part of the club in a very biased way. For example the teachers would act completely different around some of the students that were in the club by letting behavioral problems fly by like it was nothing. Some teachers would even help in some of the stunts that the club caused. The teachers and adults involved in the school would put some of the members above many students which shouldn't be allowed. In conclusion The setting of the book The Battle of Jericho by Sharron Drapper is clearly the school for many reasons.

Some other things happened at the store and the sporting goods store. There was a little conflict at the school where there was a fight. The track was the main scene in the whole book all of the conflict and action was created at the track. Castle made friends at the track and stuck up for Sunny at the track for someone trying to talk about his mom.

The most important setting in the book "Freak the Mighty" by Rodman Philbrick is where Max's father took him when he got him. This is important because they are basically hiding there. Max's father also choked Loretta Lee to death there. The police drove by this place looking for Max's father and Max. Max and Freak actually went to this place before Max"s father went to. They went there because they had an ID card that had the address to this place. There are quite a few things that have happened here. This place is an important part of the story because of all the things that have happened.

They wouldn't have been able to hold the toy drive without the warehouse. Most of the toys couldn't fit in a living room. It was also good for secrecy for the group. Not many people go to abandoned warehouses. Without this place Dana wouldn't have been able to join the Warriors. Jericho wouldn't have been able to have second thoughts on the Warriors if the toy drive didn't go on.

The most important setting in roll of thunder is when Little man, Stacy, and a few other people were walking down the road to go to school when the bus tried to run them over a couple of times so they got so mad they made a plan to dig out the road a little to make it look like it got washed out so they dont figure out who did it.

I think the most important setting in the story "Freak the Mighty" by Rodman Philbrick is When Max's dad and Max went and hid out and his dad choked Loretta Lee to death. The police drove by and looked and they couldn't find them. Max and Freak have actually went there before because they had the ID card. A lot of things have happened at this place before!

The Battle of Jericho by Sharon M. Draper
The school i think was the most important setting in the book because a lot of activities happen there. The warriors distinction took place there. Although the bullying and hazing was not as obvious at the school as it was at the warehouse.
