And yet, the Logans feel the most safe at their house because they are happy to even have a home, and they all care about each other more than anything. When she noticed she had told them that she was friends with both of their parents. Later in the novel when Max's evil dad (Killer Kane) kidnaps him he tries to brainwash Max by telling him that he never has killed anyone in his life. But then when he ties Max up in a basement Loretta thinks that it is wrong so she goes down while Iggy tries to distract Killer Kane for a while but he comes out of the dark and starts choking Loretta until she's basically rendered dead and Max sees what type of person he truly is. For example the teachers would act completely different around some of the students that were in the club by letting behavioral problems fly by like it was nothing. Some teachers would even help in some of the stunts that the club caused. The teachers and adults involved in the school would put some of the members above many students which shouldn't be allowed.
