It was too late when I had finished my workday, so I decided to sleep there. There was a rest area in my job where I could stay, so I slept there in a couch.

The next morning the cold I felt through my body woke me up, everything was dark and I couldn't sit up because I was in a very narrow space. I could only touch four metal walls around me. I was really scared.

I work in a morgue...

Where no one else does.

THE HOUR OF MASS - Izan de la Cruz (2 batx.B)

The ruins of that castle had something disturbing. The solitude and the wind blowing through the embrasures frightened me. The red ivy plants crawled and creeped up the ruined walls like a voracious animal. But the reward for Saint Martha Crypt’s legendary treasure gives me courage to keep on my way to the church, the only building that was still standing. My footsteps sounded loudly and lonely inside the church. I found a little narrow gate and I went down to the crypt. As soon as I walked through that door I started to hear babies yelling. The walls of the crypt were covered by blood drops and claw marks. There were also messages written by those claws; “He saved me, I rejoice in him”. “I live to serve our angel of salvation”. And in the altar, the following message: “Never forget the hour of mass, pray for your life”. I heard wood cracks and when I turned around I saw that strange animal, larger than a bear, similar to a cat smiling to me, waiting for the hour of mass.

Yesterday I woke up to a rainy sad day, I went to the bathroom and I brushed my teeth while saying horrible things about my face. I drank a half empty cup of milk and I head of my school just to have another shitty day.

Today I woke up to one of the most beautiful sunrises full of joy and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and smile at me throughout the mirror reflection. I ate a yummy and nourishing meal while I listened to my favorite song. I closed my home door and walked to live the life I had always dreamed of, and all because life didn't end when I was sixteen.
