This was a very brief yet informative website talking about the oil crisis. It cover why the oil was cut off and out the Americans "were to blame" cause a mass change to aproach on their part. Re-evaluations on governmental positions and resource management, specifically in Alberta. The event that spured on this Oil price infaltion was that America had decided to help Israel when Egypt and Syria invaded them. This causes Egypt and Syria to put up massive tarif on the export of oil to North America and almost stop exporting altogether. This had profound effects on the economy

I choose this website for its condensed information in a easy to read format. I learned that Americans are to blame for getting involved in other peoples business

This website was goes more in depth about the Oil Crisis and its repercussions on the dollar and what caused it. The response from the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) caused oil prices to go up 70% overnight. This was done because of North America looking into Middle Eastern business. This however spurred the development of the Oil Sands in Albert keeping their economy well of the the years to come even after the Crisis. It also going into detail about raising oil prices.

I choose this website because it offers sectioned off block of info directly relating to the Oil Crisis effect on Canada. I learned because of this Alberta's Oil industry boomed and prospered because of this.

This website covers in detail the timeline of which things occurred when. This history of why it happened. As well as the macroeconomics of what and how the Oil Crisis affected. This shocked the world, take every country and every one at a back. They once comfortable living now turn upside-down. This made a lot of people start living on a budget of how much gas they use. Gas ration were implemented to help curb the amount of gas people were using.

I choose this website because it offers links to a lot of other sources and is very detailed and accurate in term of economy and money lost. I learned that in Australia they went from eating oil to propane/natural gas.

This website talks about how the 1970 including the Oil Crisis was a modern day gold-rush, but for oil. They talk about the history behind the Oil Crisis as well as more detail in who pioneered the way, the big companies that were prevalent. It talks about not listening to others and trusting your gut. Picking a spot to dig for Oil and finding it. To which Jim Gray did a pioneer for the oil minening industry in Canada. Alberts Oil industry was booming to hard, at the time there was the most multi millionaires Canada had ever seen before. Due to this rapid expansion a recession hit Hard, and the boom was over.

I chose this website because it goes into heavy detail as to how the economy stabilized and was setting up for the future. I learned that Jim Gray created the Canadian Hunter who would look for liquid gold and keep the oil flowing.

This video talks heavy how what happened to cause the Oil Crisis as well as the repercussion on it to the American market which was tied closely to Canada's. They also talk about gas ration which were implemented to try and help stunt the amout of gas that was being used nation wide. A method they used was if your licence plate ended in an even number you could by gas on a day with an even date. Opposite or odd numbers, this helped so long as the gas station had gas to even sell it was being bought out to quickly

I chose this video because it is a very descriptive and informative on the topic. I learned that the price of oil was based on the American dollar, to latter be chainged to gold.

This video is a condensed version of the conference Canadian prime ministers discussing Canadian oil prices and the future of the country. At this meeting they also discussed national energy polices. Ontario was opposed to changing Oil prices as it would to heavily impact, on jobs, inflations, unemployment and other more pressing matters. I can see where Ontario is coming from with there wanting to not change the prices, but I feel it had to have been done otherwise the effects could have been devastating long term for the economy. They were looking out for the current, when not fully looking for the future.

I choose this video because its a good representation of the severity this had on Canadians. I learned that Ontario was against the raising of Oil prices.

This video talks about a recent Oil Crisis that happened last year, but this once to a lesser economical disaster. It talks about very low Oil prices in canda and how we will deal with it. They are discussing many different options that will help rasie the price back up, such at halting or slowing down the production to raise the value back and and other once they have in mind and have not fully disclosed ye. I suspect they will try to open a new refinery some where to help with production and make it cheaper and more efficient to make oil.

I chose this video as it is a more recent video and help to reinforce the long lasting problems with Oil and its prices thought they years caused by the Oil Crisis. I learned that Canada is having a new aged Oil Crisis. I had heard about it, but didn't think Canada was in the mix.

This video talks about the future for Canada Oil Prices. They talk about the political side of thing and what happening between them and Syria, Iran and other potential countries like Venezuela. They also talke about the price differential with prices so low, they think that prices will increase once more Mid-Western oil refinery come back online increasing their oil refining capacity. This will have an impact on Canadian Oil compaines loosing money and having a rough time producing the oil due to lack of room in the pipelines. This is expected to be solved in 2021

I chose this video as its and informative short interview on the future in Oil prices. I learned that in the future Oil is still looking like to go up and be reliable source of income.

Almost congesting road ways and building up massive pile ups.

I choose this photo because it truly shows just how bad the Oil Crisis affected citizens of not only Canada but around the globe.
