Growing up I was fascinated by how things worked which, upon graduating from high school, led me down a path in which I attained a Masters Degree in Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh. However, once I got my first job in the industry I lost the initial curiosity I felt whilst studying, and becoming more specified only led me to feel I was "learning more about less". In order to broaden my horizons, I quit my job and went solo travelling and upon my return delved into the retail and hospitality sectors with a number of jobs, in which I enjoyed the spontaneity of working with people. During COVID I took a job as a carer for the elderly in a residential care setting which greatly broadened my outlook on life and made me value the importance of finding your "calling".
