I would say that my progress this term was definitely a huge improvement and rise from the last term. Although, I believe that a little more determination and effort into my Math class could have been done in order to actually leave me fully confident and satisfied about my accomplishments this term without any big or little doubts or worries about what my final grade would be in math this term. Although, what I am really sure about is that I would get a grade higher than the one in the previous term.

SPECIFIC: I'd say that this goal was sort of accomplished. Honestly, I am half-sure and half-not sure if I actually attained my desired grade or not.

MEASURABLE: For me, this goal was accomplished as the scores that I got from my quizzes reflect the effort I put into reviewing and preparing for them. If ever I felt like I underperformed in an assessment, I made sure to prepare and study for the next one really well.

ATTAINABLE: Given my quiz scores, I feel like I have put the right amount of dedication and hard work into my quizzes, and I'm really proud of my progress this term. All in all, this goal was accomplished.

RELEVANT: I feel as if I am on the right track for the Math subject so far, and that I could do much better next term. Along with some little doubts about my progress, I would consider this goal semi-accomplished.

TIME-BOUND: I have given myself multiple wake-up calls and I have motivated myself to give it my all this term without slacking.

This term, I found Long Test #1 about Polynomial Functions to be the most difficult task this term, even thought I got decent scores on the quizzes of the same lesson as well. I would say that I consider this task the most difficult this term because I feel like I did not put that much effort into studying and preparing for this long test. Thus, this led to me to experiencing a difficult time while answering the assessment, where all I could do was try to remember, but that just consumed a lot of time.

Two ways on how I could have properly dealt with this assessment to make life easier are...

1) To have actually placed effort and hard-work in reviewing for this assessment by going through the materials used in class by answering extra worksheets or other materials to ensure my understanding of the lesson.

2) To have consulted with my math teacher and asked him questions about the topic about concepts of which I do not understand fully or about whatever part/s of the lessons I am still unsure of.

Since I have had a a hard time with the lesson of polynomial functions, it is valid that I have had a lot of misconceptions about this lesson. One of the misconceptions or mistakes that I would make a lot would be involved with sketching the graphs of Polynomial Functions, especially when following the leading coefficient test. I get that it was there to be able to easily determine the behavior of both end points in the graphs, but it was a bit difficult for me to familiarize myself with, since there were a lot of conditions to memorize. The "eureka!" moment I had throughout this lesson of this term would be when I finally remembered and memorized the leading coefficient test since I tried applying it in practice problems with my tutor. Thus I was finally able to apply it correctly.

Nothing is too early, I have to open my eyes and face reality already.

TIME-BOUND: I'd say that I can accomplish this goal in no-time without any distractions if I just believe in myself and stop being lazy.

This term was pretty much a rollercoaster. I did not find the lessons that difficult, although I got some low results in my Long Tests this term. In my quizzes though, I got good scores there. With the remaining assessments we have in Math, such as this E-Portfolio and the Periodical Exam, I believe I can show and prove to my teacher what I have learned from our discussions these past classes, especially my determination to not just pass, but to learn Math and develop a love for it, as my future will definitely rely a lot on it.

What I have learned from these past two terms that I can apply in the current grading period right now would be improving my skills; such as attentive listening and less procrastination. Throughout the previous grade levels where I’ve struggled with math, I realized that I actually do somewhat well or a decent job in Math, and it is just that I need to listen well and put in an effort in my studies in order for myself to really absorb and get a grip on the lesson being discussed.

SPECIFIC: Just like last term, I am half-sure and half-not sure if I my target grade for this term was achieved or not. Although, I am always focusing on the positive side of these situations.

MEASURABLE: Yes, this goal was accomplished since now it's a habit for me to view the scores that I get from my quizzes, instead of being scared of viewing my scores and reflecting on my mistakes. I also think of ways on how I can recover from them. All in all, this really gives me a spark of confidence on me.

ATTAINABLE: Given my test scores, I could have placed more of the right amount of focus into preparation for my assessments this term. I feel as if I achieved this goal not fully, but to a specific extent.

RELEVANT: I am pretty much familiar now with our lessons, and I found out that I already grasped some concepts already.

TIME-BOUND: I have given myself multiple wake-up calls and what my reality would be like. I looked at reality and figured out what would happen if I do not maintain my grade.

This term, I found the Long Test #2 covering the topic of Probability to be the most challenging task for me. I consider this to be quite a hard task as days before this assessment, I got sick with a pretty high fever and wasn't able to prepare well for it, as I focused on my health first. When I returned to take a make-up quiz, I was quite confused and had a hard time answering most items as I did not have enough preparation for this assessment.

Ways on how I could have properly dealt with this assessment to be able improved my performance here would be are....

1) Having studied for it having foreseen possible events or factors that have a chance to affect my studying or preparation for the test.

2) To have let myself rest first, and when I got back, I could have explained my absence to my teacher and sympathized with him in order to have extra time in reviewing or preparing for my assessment.

Many confusions or misconceptions have happened to me this term in Math, and one of them was involved with the lesson of Probability. Specifically, with their keywords such as "OR" & "AND".

I have figured out that "OR" meant that I was suppose to calculate the probability of either event A alone, event B alone or for both event A and B.

For "AND" this time, I learned that it meant that we are calculating for the probability of both events A & B at the same time.

I usually got these two keywords mixed up in the past assessments. So now, I am glad that I got to differentiate these two terms to clear my confusion.

Even though there were no Collaborative Assessments in Math this term, one way I was still able to continue that idea by reaching out for help from the people close to me in my learning environment. These people would be my teacher, fellow classmates and my very own tutor. All of these individuals right here were who were my support system in learning Math. They supported me and continued to do so, even when I was my lowest peak in Math. The way that they never left my side was so heart-warming for me and I'm very glad that they were there for me. Their support was what drove me into delivering my best in Math this term.
