The cinematic style that Lynch produces is very moody and thriller based, the movies tend to leave you with some sort of linger long after the movie is over...Its unique how a director could produce such a feeling like that.

“The Casting scene” in Mulholland Drive is an excellent scene, because you can see how Lynch uses the filming technique where it zooms in on characters eyes and it creates the tension and the viewer can kinda feel the sense that there's a tension building. Also, the sound and the way the whole scene is portrayed is very eerie, it makes me think and feel like something sinister is coming...you just don't know when. In the scene, the director character turns and says, “This is the girl.” and the way he says it just makes you think so dark about it.
