T-T: The book ‘Common Wealth’ reminds me of the book ‘Day Break’ because they are both related to how the aboriginal land was taken by the British. Day Break was how they should get their land back and Common Wealth was about how things should be changed to honour the aboriginals.

T-W: The book ‘Common Wealth’ reminds me of how black people are not respected in the world because of their culture and their colour. It is about how black people (aboriginals) deserve some respect.

T-T= This book reminds me of (When we say BLM)Because it’s talking about culture and BLM.Also this reminds me of another the World war because there were fights and they were protecting the culture.

T-S=This reminds me of when at my old school some bullies were bullying other people about there culture and skin.Also they were mean to the 

principal so they got expelled.The skin colour rule is very strict.When the British came they put the white law because they were racist to other people? 

T-W=The book is reminding me about our culture Australia and about the aboriginal people here.When the British came it was really sad that they were treated badly.They we’re wiped or killed for doing bad stuff.Also it relates to BLM because when the British came there was a white law.

Text to self: The part on page 4 about schools teaching more aboriginal history makes me think of when we learnt things about aboriginals. 

Text to world: The entire text particularly the page with a map makes me think about diversity, national anthems and settlement all around the world.

Text to self: this reminds me that many people treated aboriginals disrespectful. This book is to give respect and be polite to aboriginals but I see many people mocking different races. We should be positive about every culture and respect they deserve.

The footprints on page 17 reminds me of when I step on the beach and dirt.

This book reminds me of the book called the gold rush because 

On page 5 it says “ I love our golden soil” and in the gold rush book it talks about gold and there wealthy soil.

On page 3 it says” They say we are young and free but it’s easy to see we’re from the oldest culture in the world” This reminds me of lots of books that say captain cook found Australia  but it is very wrong because aboriginals have been living on this land for more than 65000 years. They have changed a sentence in the Australian National anthem because of this originally it was “we are young and free” but now it’s “we are one and free”

Text to world: In this book on page 15, the author says that he wants to change the national anthem. The anthem has now changed from ‘we are young and free’ to ‘we are one and free’. (I think) It’s because when they say Australia is young it means that its found new but it’s actually been there for 60,000 years or even more.

Text to text: The book ‘Common Wealth’ reminds me of the book called ‘stand up speak up’ because is the book people are protesting to stop climate change and in the text common wealth he’s also asking to change something.

Text to self: This text has a sentence that says ‘So let’s unite to make this country great’ and it refers to Australia. I live in Australia and I’ve met and become friends with many people from many cultures. The book also says to unite with indigenous Australians and in Australia, now we communicate and appreciate indigenous people a lot to.

The general overlay of Commonwealth make  me think of dark emu. The similarities is that both books are Dreamtime story's/info reports on what aboriginal Australians did back then.

On page 15, the illustration looked to me like caption cooks's fleet on the arrival at Bonney bay, it also reminded me of the big tanker ships at port Melbourne.

This book reminds me of the book “the proudest blue” because it has the same kind of message that even though were different on the outside were the same on the inside this was quoted from the text. The vibe was also quite similar to the proudest blue (they were both calm and hopeful)

Common wealth is similar to when we say Black Lives Matter because it is talking about how we could help the people who are treated badly and ways it would help. It also makes the reader feel bad. I felt this after it said “ all that I’m wishing, is that you take a moment to listen”.

Common wealth reminds me how we go through tough times and can get through it if we work together. It reminds me of that on the pg with all the hands with country’s.

Common wealth has given the reminder of how everybody is treated differently. They are also asking if we could make a country more great, because it said “ so let’s unite to make our country great”.

T-T-T out of the many texts this specific text reminds me of when we say BLM since it has a similar spirit with the type of word choice and the style of art in the illustrations, Since Commonwealth has a rhyming story of the history of Australia and the indigenous people This type of similarity’s is on commonwealths page #6 and #7 since they have a text about you aren’t listening to me and we want to change this, this overlaps with when we say BLM because it has a page saying you aren’t letting us do what we want and we want to change this.

Personally I have no real experiences with these types of scenarios however I have seen many protests and actually been to one in which they had lots of signs about rhyming themes of the story of what happened on invasion  day and explaining it with great detail and showing things with the aboriginal flag as well as the Torres Strait islanders flag and talking about rights and showing George Floyd flags.

Since these texts we have been reading relate to what’s actually happening live in the real world it’s kind of easy but hard to relate however aboriginals rights have been not very good even considering they are have been protesting and asking kindly but very loudly about changing there rights even more since they are still descirminated to this day and they need more rights.

when the book said ‘but in the inside, we are the same’ it reminded me of how people are spreading the word of ‘whatever race, identity, or anything, we are equal’

this book reminds me of 'the rabbits’ or ‘when we say black lives matter” because it had more of an informative element to it instead of a story element like in the proudest blue.

when the book said ‘they say we are young and free’, it reminded me of stereotypes around the world and how it is a big problem.

At school we made hands with the Aboriginal flag on them and some of the drawings in common wealth look very similar. All the details in the book and side notes I could relate to. This also reminds me of a colouring book I had that was detailed but shared a comment or a memory they have experience before that inspired the peace.

This book reminds me of Black Lives Matter and the pictures matter as much as the words. As well as how strong what you say can be and you can be heard if you try really hard. Also all of the words go in different directions and stiles.

This made me think about all the things that go on in the world. How much people want us to believe different things and all stories that are known have been told. As well as how many stories people have and  how important it is to tell them.

T-T-S When the teacher red common wealth, i learned that the indigenous flag shows the bad days when there was still a small amount of indigenous people and white people invading Australia and treating indigenous unfairly.

T-T-W In the book common wealth every single page is a real event and isn’t fake, there isn’t even 1 indigenous person alive around the world because white people treated them poorly and didn’t even care about them except some white people cared about them and helped them but other white people was against it some of the white people was executed just for helping.
