7:46 AM EST
Today, Apollo 11 launches into space and with it, so do Neil Armstrong, Edwin E. Aldrin Jr., and I(Michael Collins).
If everything goes well, this will be the first manned mission to land on the moon; and the first successful one. There's no way Russia is gonna see this coming. They've been so busy flexing on us with their satellites and their orbits so I'm pretty sure that this is gonna humiliate them hard. We're gonna kick their butts.

8:30 AM EST
The rocket is about to launch in an hour. I don't know if I should be exited or scared. Most of the recent launches that we've had have been successful but the ones before that were total catastrophes and considering how large this mission is, things going wrong will probably be a lot easier. I can only pray that this will go well.

9:09 AM EST
The rocket is going to launch in a little under 30 minutes. I'm so anxious. I think i just need to stop thinking about everything that can go wrong and think about what can go right. Maybe then I'll be less anxious. I wonder what the terrain on the moon will feel like.

22:21 PM EST
I finally got out of the moon's orbit. Armstrong was the one to take the first step on the moon. That man has such a way with words. When he stepped foot onto the moon, he said, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." They ended up bouncing because of the low amount of gravity. Since the moon's gravity is a fourth of the Earth's, they were using 4 times the amount of force needed to walk on the moon. Because of that, when they tried to walk they would bounce. I'm sure that wasn't too helpful when they were playing golf. While they were doing that, I was orbiting the moon for safety precautions. You can never be too sure. I remember they told me about how they heard odd noises coming from the rocket. Or, at least what was left of the rocket. Anyways, they heard noises so they went to investigate. After, a close examination of the rocket, they realized that it was the water cooler. That gave them a good laugh. The people at Nasa built a multi-million-dollar rocket for them to go to the moon but they couldn't afford to put a decent cooler on there. We thought it was funny.
