the knew that the crocodiles could get him easilyer and when it was his turn to go he stayed to help them find a way across. 

comashintiant because 81 to 83 monyroor turned down the SPLA who were trying to recruit him to the army and he declined food and water for jacob.

Choshinit because in the entire part where they were by the river Monyroor made sure that jacob,willy and oscar would not jump in because the first couple of boys got eaten by crocodiles so he was ensuring safety for them.
