Find a read aloud story on YouTube to introduce her to the students and have them see why she is so important in history.

Talk about fairness and how what standing up for your rights and what you believe in is important. Equality is so important and what Rosa Parks did was so brave.

Explore stories of Native Americans.

Teach students respect on Native American History.

Discuss all perspectives in early American Discovery.

Have students make a poster board or diorama showing how Native American life was like before the arrival of European Settlers.

Show students the long journey that Christopehr Colombus and other explorers took on the journey to America.

Introduce students to different maps of Native American territories.

Have students right a journey entry either as a Native American and what their everyday life was like before the arrival of European settlers. Or as a European settler and what it was like having to leave their home behind to a new country and new people.

Have students make a family tree giving us an insight to their culture and have them share any traditions they have.

Include authors from diverse races in your classroom library.

Have posters on your wall that show different races, cultures and equality.

Assessments of learning styles can be effective instruments for figuring out each student's individual preferences and strong points. Teachers are able to adjust their instruction to better engage and support each individual student by determining if they are visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learners. (Sisson 2022)
