You will need your University Card for access to the building and to borrow books using the self-service machines.
We have reduced the capacity of our library buildings to support social distancing. You may be asked to wait if the library is full.

You may be asked to return your books to the library if they are requested by another user. You will receive an email to let you know if this is the case.
We are not currently charging fines for overdue items. We will review this again at the end of the summer term.

  • Our libraries remain open to provide essential access to study space, print resources and facilities for those who returning to our campuses following the latest government guidance.
  • No advance booking is required for access to study space after 9pm. Booking is required at all other times.
  • You must check-in to your study space within 30 minutes otherwise your space will be released to others.

How do I book a space?
1- Visit Click and Study
2- Select your preferred location, zone (level), category (type of space) or search all study space.
3- Please only tick the 'Accessible' box if you need a height adjustable desk.
4- Select your preferred study space and start time from the table.
5- Use the drop-down box below the table to select the finish time (up to three hours) or click on the bin icon to start again.
6- Click Submit Times at the bottom of the page.
7- You will be asked to log in with your University username and password.
8- Follow the instructions, read the terms and conditions and click to confirm your booking.
9- You will receive a confirmation email. Please bring this with you to the library.
