Thank you VERY MUCH po talaga Doc sa lahat, sa pagpapasensya sa aming makukulit na scholars, esp sa lahat po ng late submissions sa aming coursework, at sa patuloy po na pag inindi sa lahat ng problema namin (lalo na po sa pangngulit re: stips, Hi to you also po Ms. Grace! So aside sa basic wishes na lagi niyo na POng naririnig (magalang ako of course), wish ko po na sana lagi at mas lalo niyo pa po ma-enjoy ang mealtimes niyo with your clear skinned hubby and brainy children whether kayo po ang nagluto o hindi. Feel ko kasi tine-treasure niyo yun o baka imagination ko lang kase natataon na lagi na either kakain na kayo o magluluto na kayo pag inaasikaso niyo kami, 🤣

Sobrang laki po ng naitulong nyo sa amin na mga scholars. You may not have felt this, but your approval and your recommendation to DOST-SEI for us to be scholars is really life-changing. We were not able to enter DLSU kung di nyo po kami tinulungan during the process. You may be stepping down as the project director of DOST-CBPSME here in Lasal, but I believe that your guidance and support still continue. See you po around, doc Lydia, and we wish you more success.

"Your email sounds boastful.."

I'll never forget the cocky email I sent you in 2019 while pursuing my Master's at DLSU, asking for your approval on a concept paper and ending with your congratulations to our team at the leadership camp.

Recognizing you as the DOST Project Director and receiving your email has made me want to withdraw from the department, blame myself for my mistakes, and isolate myself. Instantaneously, I began to second-guess my talents and criticize myself for being too naive and thoughtless.

Mistreating a mentor verbally was my responsibility, and the list of things for which I hate myself goes on and on.

On the other hand, what if, instead of telling oneself, "I detest myself for doing this," one started wondering, "what can I learn from this negative experience?" Simply by posing this question, new connections in our brains are formed, which might set in motion the process of transformation (which we learned from our discussions in class).

Your unintentional instruction in class has stuck with me, and now I am applying it.

If we take on a curious attitude, we can learn from our mistakes and become stronger people as a result. Curiosity is the first step towards becoming a more thoughtful mentee, considerate scholar, and selfless citizen.

Hi Dr. Roleda. Belated Happy Birthday po.

Thank you for accepting me sa program. Kabado po ako noon kasi 42 na ako when I started, so ngayon 46 na po hahaha. Malaki po ang naging daan ng acceptance ninyo sa akin both in personal and professional level. As a public school teachers, hindi ko ma-imagine mararanasan ang facilities, amenities at laboratory ng DLSU. I was able to publish 7 journals with a number of citations and was able to grasp the true meaning of how to do things properly. Not to mention collaboration and service learning through BIOTA, ArTIST, and small classroom discussions.

All the experiences enabled me to be of purpose aside from being of service in my community. I am grateful. On behalf of my ka-isko at ka-iska sa pre-pandemic, salamat po kasi alam namin papano nyo kami tinulungan sa program. Nawa ma realize nyo "Achievement nyo po kami".

Thank you for the recommendation. I was able to grab the opportunity to study in one of the prestigious universities in the Philippines, the universe rather. 😂 The scholarship allowed me to explore and to know myself better, and to know what I am still capable of doing. I am forever grateful that even though I'm late in the application for admission to the program, you accepted my scholarship application po. I can still remember how patient you were in answering all my queries. From then on, I knew that I wanted you to become my adviser. Being makulit that I am, I know you will be patient with me. And I'm glad I trusted my gut. Lol.
