I also tend to write longer, more complicated (and sometimes convoluted!) sentences in contrast to more concise ones, so I want to focus on whittling them down until my meaning is directly conveyed. Yes, the vocab, sentence variation, and other similar parts of my writing do need work. But most of all, my biggest issue has been that I can't find myself writing pages upon pages the way I'd like to.

Even if I start out with a wonderful idea, it's just that: a well-crafted beginning but nothing else connected to it. What beauty does a flower have if it shows its healthy leaves, only to die before it blooms?
