Food Insecurity

Food insecurity is a big problem in Alabama, 17% of adults and 23% of children don't have access to nutritious food. Sometimes it is easy to push these issues aside especially because we live in a really blessed and prosperous community, but here in Jefferson county alone 102,050 people suffer from food insecurity. If I become governor I promise to help decrease the amount of people without nutritious food. I will have the Alabama government partner with organizations like Feeding America, The Community Food Bank of Central Alabama, and the FRAC. I also plan to work with schools to lower prices of lunches and establish backpack programs and help lower food insecurity for kids.

Funding for Schools

Here in Vestavia we have one of the best schools in the state, so it is easy to not realize that other schools are not as fortunate as we are. Some schools in rural Alabama do not have the resources we do. They don't have the funding needed for many things we do like: field trips, athletic equipment, and computers for each of their students. They suffer teacher shortages and the teachers they do have are often underpaid and so tired they can't perform their jobs. If I become governor I will help these schools. I believe that our future is in our children and I promise to make our schools better and protect our children and our future.

Pollution

Pollution is not just a problem in Alabama, but worldwide. If I'm elected for governor I will help Alabama reduce pollution by half. I will fight for clean waters and cleaner air by regulating what big companies can put into our waters. If I'm elected we will have cleaner safer water and better air to breathe. Help me help you keep Alabama beautiful!

My logo includes my name,the position I'm running for, and the state of Alabama. I chose the colors red and blue because they are patriotic and represent Alabama and America. I want my logo to convey the message that I'm patriotic and care for Alabama. I'm hoping to appeal to the general population of Alabama because the general population likes things that are patriotic. I think my logo makes me stand out because it is simple but also not just words like most logos. Mine includes the state of Alabama as well.

I chose my slogan because it makes people feel good but also conveys a message. The building part points toward the fact that I'm a hard worker. The brighter future part points toward the fact that Alabamians will have a great experience under my term as a governor. It also communicates that I'm for the future and not the past. Another point is it can be tied into my issues of pollution, food insecurity, and funding schools.
