It lasted from the early 15th century until the early 17th century. The Age of Exploration is a period in where European ships would travel across the world to search for new trading routes and to feed capitalism in Europe.

Cortez conquered the Aztecs by allied with native tribes that were also conquered by the Aztecs, then they went out and defeated the Aztecs.

It was an agreement between Spain and Portugal. It settled conflicts over lands newly discovered or explored by Christopher Columbus and the other 15th century voyagers. It took place on June 7, 1494. The Spanish set a bunch of boundaries to mark their territory. Portugal became dissatisfied because their rights in the New world were limited. So the two countries met up in Tordesilla, in northwestern Spain, and they expanded Portugals line by 1.185 miles which allowed them to claim the coast of Brazil.

It refers to the flow of people, animals, plants, and microorganisms between Europe, Africa and the Americas. The Native Americans took a heavy hit from diseases during this. 90% of the Native American's population died due to diseases. For the Africans and the Europeans the most exciting thing was the American crops which led to population explosions in Africa and parts of Europe. The path is that it starts from the domesticated animals from the Eurasia areas, then the immune to the diseases was formed. They hop on a ship and head to the New World and then destroy the Native Americans with these diseases because they aren't immune to them plus hit them with a new religion. CAUSE- The Eurasia people brought domesticated animal and diseases: EFFECT- Native Americans died, which saved some time to not kill them.

Some background info on Vespucci in that he was an explorer and was born March 9, 1451 and died on February 22, 1512. One of the main motivators for Vespucci was that he sailed with Christopher Columbus. Columbus's statement was that they traveled across the world and found Asia. Vespucci did not believe that could be true and went on another voyage. He ended up doing just that. He went to Central America, Guyana, Cape Verde, Rio De Janeiro and Rio de la Plata. He was in charge of voyages to discover new land. He did so under the Spanish flag and the Portuguese flag.

The demand for slave labour rose sharply with growth of sugar plantations in the Caribbean and tobacco plantations in the 17th century. Africans were being transported as slaves. The Atlantic passage or Middle Passage was known for how brutal it was. Hundreds of Africans are packed tightly into tiers below decks for a voyage of about 5,000 miles. They were chained together and there was low ceilings and low oxygen levels. Slave trade had a devastating effect in Africa. It added an atmosphere of lawlessness and violence. For the Americas the slave trade was good because of the new sugar and tobacco plantations that were growing in North America.

Two effects of the Age of Exploration. One is the exchange of Food and Crops and the other is the spread of diseases. They traded crops this brought together Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americans. They all majorly benefited from the food. When they traded foods and goods that also traded some diseases. The Native Americans suffered from smallpox and that killed about 90 percent of the Native American population.

Did the Age of Exploration Make a Positive Impact

No I do not think the Age of Exploration Made a positive impact. One reason is the Atlantic slave trade and the other is most of the Native American population, died. The Atlantic slave trade was bad because the Europeans could just go over to Africa and take Africans and turn them into slaves, that is not good. The other reason was the Europeans were already immune to a disease but they were carriers of it. So when they went to the New World the Native Americans were fully exposed to this disease. This causes 90% of the Native American population to die.
