This is my action plan for the upcoming project themed as “Opposites”. I have written there all my plans and things that i would like to do for each week of this project. This should help me complete everything and have the idea of what to do from the very start of the project. I’m going to look at this action plan each week, and hopefully try do my best to follow it.

This is the project proposal. I have written there everything, I have learned before starting “opposites” project, listed all the important techniques, things I am good at and what is the idea of my upcoming project. I really hope it will help me develop even more ideas and do my best for this project.

Minty Sainsbury is a Scottish artist who is doing a lot of pencil drawings of architecture. I had a look at her drawings and I really liked all of them, so it was a hard choice to choose a couple of them, that I like the most.

Her drawings really inspire me and I really want to do a drawing similar to hers with using similar techniques

In my opinion those pictures are linked together to the theme “opposites” perfectly. Because, based on my idea of creating and showing differences between abandoned and modern buildings, it’s clearly seen that pictures and the left side and on the right side are including this idea. It’s also seen that the idea of nature being present and absent is shown as well in the best way possible. So, I think those pictures from visual researches will suit my idea of project perfectly.

I really like those pictures and looking forward to create art pieces based on them.

To make this, I have printed out a lot of pictures, some of them, I have found online, and some of them were taken by myself. I have enjoyed working with print outs of architectural structures and it actually gave me a lot of ideas and inspiration for the closest future.

Next, I’m going to try work in different pathways to achieve even more ideas and more realisation about what I want to do for my project. But, so far, I think, this is sort of my thing and this is the most what I’m interested in

To make those pieces, I have worked with such things as: microscope, mono print, magazines, acrylics and some type of tools to draw, write and cut with. I think those are very interesting pieces and contain different meanings to them.

While I was working on those, I have realised that it is not that hard to highlight the theme “opposites” and I have found out a lot of different ideas about what to do, to create this feeling of differences between different things.

Next, I’m going to try out one more thing, and finally move on to creating art works based on my own ideas.

This work was based on just making a frame and then threading through it different threads in different directions. I have tried to make a shape in it and to my first look at it, I thought it looks really good, but now looking at it, it looks boring and not very interesting, so this is definitely not the art piece that I would like to do for my project.

Also, there were a lot of struggles while working on it, the thread kept unthreading and splitting in different pieces, so i had to use super glue to keep it all in place, so it wasn’t very fun experience.

I am not too sure how it links to the theme “opposites” to me it’s just like a bit pointless to be fair, didn’t really help to gather some ideas and I haven’t gained any inspiration out of it.

Next, I am going to finally start working more i to my project and using all my ideas and inspiration to make it look the best.
